So I booked an appointment with Mariana Maison (aka Davina Davis) for Saturday 2/1 and paid a $500 deposit (total cost of the appointment was $2500). I learned over the weekend that my plans changed and I had to cancel, which I communicated to her this morning - her cancellation rules on her site clearly state that cancellations a week or more prior carry no penalty. Now she’s texting me that I owe her $1000 and if i don’t pay, she’s threatening to post my info online. What can I do?
I will definitely use my voice on both TER and P411 with admin to make things difficult for her if she follows thru.

I hate to kick a guy while he is down, BUT, what possessed you to book with her in the first place? I just read her site and it just SCREAMS "entitled fucking bitch" Yes, her pics look nice, but her fucking attitude is over the fucking top.
That said, make sure you keep EVERYTHING she writes to you, I am sure at her rates the thousand bucks she's trying to extort from you is not worth getting kicked off whatever sites like TER or P 411 that she is on.
Believe me, I am kicking myself for such a horrid decision. I usually go for more mature providers, but i saw her ad and was captivated by her look. Then I watched a couple of her scenes and little head took over. Serves me right for not doing my research - I will be more careful in the future and stick with the mature reliable ladies!

I honestly don’t mind giving the deposit and i certainly wasn’t looking for my deposit back in this matter. What I do mind is a crazy attempt to extort $1000 from me when I simply followed the rules laid out on her site. And the threat to post my info online, which is a curious move from someone who (I presume) wants to continue having a career in this business
.......some lowlife is going to pull that crap on the wrong guy, at the wrong time, who is going to call their bluff and contact the authorities. Even attempted extortion carries a significant jail sentence and it would be fairly easy to prove with a text trail. If its over state lines its a federal beef with even more severe consequences.

Two big things going on here.
1. Refusing to return deposit according to her website's T&C. (I went to both her websites and could find nothing about refunding the cancellation on the part of the client, only if she cancels. However, maybe she already changed it or has more than two websites. Third possibility is I completely missed it on one of her websites.)
2. Attempted Extortion (The far, far bigger issue)
This kind of thing really hurts the providers with good reputations who request deposits for legitimate reasons; e.g. travel, extended appointments.

I don’t even want the deposit back - I booked and i had to cancel, I don’t mind losing the deposit. The attempted extortion is what i do kind, even when I cancelled according to her rules. Crazy, right?
This is very upsetting to me as a provider who uses booking deposits for screening and safety.
Seems like there is always some type of scam artist that messes things up for those of us who are legit.

It seems that she should be avoided like the plague. I hope she has another way to support herself because she's going to need it. Then again, there's a sucker born every minute and will meet with the same fate as yourself. This is a sad state of affairs. Very sorry to hear it. I told her I’ll be posting about this on every review board I know so the community knows how she operates. She was bold enough to try to extort me because she’s probably gotten away with it before.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over this shit. If you can get your deposit back, great, if you can't, well, now you know why most of us don't partake in providers that require a deposit.
The fact is, she's screwed you (and not in the fun way) and is threatening to screw you more (again, not in the fun way) because she's pissed about missing out on that cheddar. If she did follow through and post your info online, it'd be mutually assured destruction because you could easily string her up as the scumbag that she is.
So don't worry about it, that's what she wants you to do.

She got a $500 deposit from me, which I told her she was free to keep when I cancelled. She was looking for $1000 more, which I refused to do.
I don’t think posting a fake review will solve anything and I’m not going to stoop to her level. I’ve sent a note to TER admin to have her delisted and banned for this behavior - I’ll see what they do.

I see and understand your point...however, one of the reasons I pulled the trigger on her was that she had an established TER profile with many stellar reviews. Maybe they’re mostly fake, maybe not...but it gave me the impression of credibility that drove me to book her. If she was no longer on this site, may be a little harder to prove her bonafides, no?

Where money was given but no meeting took place, ripoff reviews are allowed. Of course the review in question has been up up now for a week so everyone on this thread knows that now, but many think it is a new thing. Have her a deposit at her request as we had been talking (without a firm date in place). She came back to my area again, played dumb and refused to return it or honor it for a date request. I’ve been burned 2 times by forwarding money (Her and another provider the details of which I’ll be happy to share via PM). Ladies, I am trusting in giving a deposit but being burned twice is not fun and it will take excellent caliber reputation and reviews to get one from me again.
i got burned twice...$1000 and $800. Both well reviewed ladies, I had seen previously canceled on me and then literally fucked me. Never tried to make amend so now, while I understand why some ladies require a deposit, it is my decision not to see them. There are too many to choose from that do not. I know I am reliable but I also cannot afford to lose the deposit.
This girl needs to be blacklisted. On three separate occasions this year I had a date confirmed in Vegas. Flew from LAX to Vegas, got a nice room, the date is again confirmed and then it resulted in a no show. It gets expensive and very frustrating...And the tardiness.. over an hour with no apologies. This is why, more and more so, at this point I stick with the same 2-3 ladies that are always reliable.
Sorry this happened to you. Wishing you the best of luck.. but just as the ladies have no problem black listing bad clients ( and they are right in doing so ), we should start to do the same. This should be fun and risk free for all.

there is a lady in Philly who "plans on coming to Minneapolis" soon. Well you have to prebook her and put a down payment on the future date. Well its been a few months and MPLS is still not on her schedule and I am glad I never sent her money. She has reviews on other sites where she is pretty well known to steal the money and never show up!!

i had one non TER girl try to blackmail me after we had met 5 or 6 times ..took her to $$$ dinners i replied firmly that go head, wife knows, and i know many captains in the vegas police. you might embarrass me but you will do so from jail .. i got one quick goodbye reply and that was it. Police in vegas arent much help if the girl simply steals money .. thats vegas for you ..... but extortion / blackmail is another level.
i do salute your bravery in posting this online, one never knows how a girl who does such things will react to public shaming. and oh yeah i dont send deposits either .. or give my real name .. or drivers license .... unless she is willing to as well ! outside of that, thank goodness for all those lovely women in vegas who treat us so wonderfully !
