I need some guidance please.
I had a wonderful 24 hour getaway with a new friend recently...
He took the time and effort to write a review of our time together.
First, it was rejected because he mentioned the city that we stayed in. They said the info was too specific.
Then, he redrafted, changed the problem, and alas, they still rejected it.
He is a well-established, review writing TER member.
He is also an extremely busy business professional whose desire is not to spend all the livelong day drafting and redrafting a piddly review for me.
I am irritated, as I know it would be a good review as we had an amazing 24hrs together, and it would be my 10th one to complete my first page.
Reviews written by other hobbyists have been rejected in the past (apparently b/c they are not on my profile), but this situation truly irks me...
I wrote a note contacting TER to find out what it is they want from my friend so I can relay the info, but is there anything else I can do?
Is there anything else I can advise him to do?
I am highly annoyed by this.
What is the point of encouraging my friends to write reviews if they aren't going to ever be seen by other hobbyists?!
Thanks for reading my rant...hopefully someone has some advise or a suggestion regarding this situation..

My advice is to get used to it. While I LOVE TER for what they have to offer, and while I LOVE TER for bringing providers and hobbyists together, I just can't figure out the double standards that don't just "seem" to exsist. They "do" exsist.
Been through this so many times with so many reviewers. I'm at the point now where I just tell reviewers not to bother anymore, unless they are "longtime" reviewers.
I have had countless 10/10's rejected, in the past 6 months, from "new" reviewers and many "not so new" reviewers.
I have had several 10/10's lowered to what you see under my profile now. Yep .. even looks have been lowered.
I have had several of my reviewers "fight" for their reviews to be reinstated to their original scores. With absolutely no luck. Not even once.
It very much "irks" be as well that all the fine men here at TER, don't get to see the whole picture from my profile every day. As well they should.
Yet .. I see several gals have great reviews from "first time" reviewers all the time. And I do mean all the time ..
Sure does make you think doesn't it ...
My advice for you (since you asked for it), is to just give you brutal honesty.
Get used to it. Accept it. It is not going to change.

and I second everything you've said.
I'm done ranting about it, because it will never change.
how about when you get low scores how come they stay on your profile for few days? I guess you managed to have them removed so you do not want hobbysts to see the whole pictures...but I guess you only complain when you don't get your 10/10
Interesting how you said "them" however.
There was "one" that was a VERY obvious fake review, that TER did remove for me. Why did they remove it? Because it was easily researched by them as a fake. But thanks for trying to skew the topic. Very classy guy you are!

Verifying review accuracy is a dicey game, since TER doesn't bring a representative to the event. Both parties involved have a vested interest in the outcome of the review. A guy with good reviews is easier to get screened for the next date, and a good review helps a lady get business. Plenty of providers have been bounced over the years for review fraud, so we know it happens. An agency here with some guy named Bruce comes to mind, for those long timers here.
Point is, sometimes reviews just smell funny, and someone noodles around, and decides a change is in order. I seriously doubt that anyone "upstairs" gives a rat's ass what your numbers are, so long as they are real.
Now, as a local hobbyist, I appreciate that every lady wants the best numbers that she can get. But, I worry about someone that obsesses over them. There are a few ladies in town that I'd avoid because their reviews are too good. Hmmm.
I've seen Beefeater's numbers get changed and the man has over 700 reviews. I would think the guy know's the difference between and 8 and a 9. Many reviews never hit our profiles for a dozen reasons including "not enough" juicy details or some stupid little thing, blah blah blah.
It's a great service we have here at TER, NO doubt and I'm not carrying any sort of picket sign or making up protest songs. But it is what it is and the fact that menu items IN the review qualifies the numbers SUCKS. That reviewers receive VIP time for reviews and that we have no input after the fact is a stinky thing. Right along with not having enough details, because it's a new reviewer or any number of other things. PHOOEY!
I could give a damn if a guy feels I am an 8 or a 9 if the narrative is great. IT's so subjective and I realize one man's is another man's 10. But it does bring a result in that guys out there who are regular hobbiest will more often spend their resources on a girl with a page of 9's (maybe one or two 8's) and will pass a girl over for having 3 or 4 8's on that first page. That's just the way it is.
...because the standards seemed so inconsistent.

Welcome to the world of double standards my dear. Most of my clientele now come from Eros so I seldom get reviews anymore however, I have mentioned TER to most of them and on at least 2 occasions reviews have been painstakingly written only to be rejected because he was a new reviewer. Are you kidding me? There are several ladies who consistantly get HIGH MARKS by reviewers who alas only have that one review posted ....ever. Seriously?
Thankfully I have not had to endure the changing of scores but alas countless times reviews have not been posted at all.
Like I said...double standards and where some things seem to be improving the review system alas is not.
Welcome to TER!
Sara
I haven't ever complained about other reviews not being posted. I just let it go and chalk it up to the game.
This situation, though, truly bothers me. The reviewer has been established since 2001. There is nothing funny or fishy about the time that he and I shared. He is irritated with the bureaucracy of it all and is annoyed that he spent the time, not once, but twice to post a review.
I'm not obsessed with reviews. However, most hobbyists are. My livelihood is built off of happy gentlemen. Some of those gentlemen like to read reviews before booking with a provider. So reviews are rather important in this forum.
I am a businesswoman and I have always taken providing seriously. I take the way I put a roof over my head and take care of myself seriously. I appreciate the gentlemen who see me and the time and finances they spend with and on me.
The internet and the abyss of the review system are new to me. Most of my clientele comes from regulars and referrals that I have established over the years.
I'd like to continue to establish myself as a great provider here on TER as well as in my other realms....the reviews speak volumes to many, and it is upsetting when someone takes the time out of their busy life to write one for me and it is rejected. I spend countless hours every week working on my business
If the major way to let hobbyists know that you are worth their time is through the review system, then I am extremely concerned with the reviews and whether or not they are posted.
Thanks for your input Sara, I do appreciate it!
Diligently plugging along trying to unruffle my feathers (lol),

providers would stop being so obsessed by reviews..
He is the one that should be questioning them on this. When you got involved on his behalf, I'm speculating that you did more harm than good. In theory, you shouldn't even have known he was submitting a review for you. If the goal is to have a pure review system, you may have unwittingly muddied the water a little.
There was a time when I had trouble getting my reviews approved, even with a review history. What I would always do is contact them and ask what it was specifically about my review that didn't pass muster. When pressed for an answer, they always saw their error in judgement and the review passed after I re-submitted it once or twice. I guess that's what he should try.
I doubt I've helped. Sorry. I understand your frustration.
Thank you for your post..
I hope I didn't muddy the waters, but he told me he had written a review on Monday. Of coure, I was excited to read it. It's always super fun and exciting to read a recap of shared time together. Days have gone by and it was never posted and he told me why.
Whatever, review posted or not posted so be it...I understand the need for accuracy and authenticity, it's just frustrating when you have all the pieces to the puzzle and it still doesn't fit together...
Oh well! Next time, I guess..
I just felt compelled to voice my frustration, as I know this happens to other providers. As a newbie to TER, I was hoping someone would know what the scoop is on this situation and how to rectify it.
Hopefully, my gentleman friend will take the time, yet again, to see what the "problem" is.
I was looking forward to having one full page of reviews so I could finally be considered and added to Delight411! ![]()
Smiles..
Those standards are brutal. It's so obvious to anyone that you're legit. Who the heck is running that site these days?
I was told you have to have a minimum of ten reviews....I'm almost there....so close I can smell it! teehee
Slow and steady wins the race they say, so I'll patiently wait until my tenth review gets posted, and ask again to be included on their wonderful site full of lovelies.
thanks for the show of support. ![]()
I do understand why they want a provider to have a certain number of reviews...makes sense...it just takes time!
HOOOOOORAY! He revised it again. Apparently, TMI about names of places we went etc...and now, it's official, I have one full page of reviews! I am sooooo happy.
Thanks everyone for your advice and input.
And, to those of you (hobbyists and providers alike) who reached out through PMs and emails, thank you.
That was very kind and much appreciated. It's nice to know I'm not the only one with some review issues at times...
Okay, I'm off to sign up for delight411 again! Yeah!
TGIF!
deja vu' same scenario happened to me...everyday I wait to see if my name popsup on new reviews and wish I get 10z across the board. So guys don't keep me waiting....
