Any suggestions on the best places to gamble my money.  I was just in Vegas Las weekend for a bachelor party.  Got a deal on a room from the NYNY which I thought was great until I found half the casino floor was under major construction.  Then at 6 AM they started jack hammering right in the middle of the casino.  I played downtown at the nugget for one nite.  The games seem good and the dealers don't have the personalities of a machine.  Give me the inside scoop all u Vegas vets.  Thanks.

if your game is Blackjack then the Golden Nugget has a fair game ....

Mandalay Bay, Luxor, are also good choices ... really need a bit more info ......

For my money and play, best comps are at the Harrah's casinos.  Computer terminal at each table to monitor play as it happens. Everything, including slots, translates into instant reward points for tier rating and usable comps. I prefer the Rio for friendly dealers and a good, fun atmosphere.

The only winners in Vegas are the casinos...invest your money somewhere else..no one wins.

Try off the strip casinos like the station casinos. You can also check out las vegas forums like http://lasvegasadvisor.com Or just google Las Vegas forums and you will find quite a few.

When it comes to comps, it's not how much or how fast you lose, it's how long you play at a certain average bet.  If you're playing the machines, it's all usually based on how much coin in (how much money you run through the machine) with your slot card in the machine (I not aware of any casino working on coin out at this time, Coasts were doing coin out for a while but switched back to coin in).  It's always best to consult with the casino host (and it depends on tables or slots cause they usually have different hosts for either) as to how much play you need to gain whatever comp you're looking for.

Whatever your game of choice is, know the best way of playing the game.  Since time spent at the table counts for a lot.  Blackjack and craps play fast and you earn comps fairly fast in those games.  Any poker table and pai gow poker generally play slow so you earn comps really slow at those games.

If you have tens of thousands to blow over the course of a weekend, you MIGHT be worth getting a RFB comp at the better casinos like Wynn, Venetian/Palazzo, Caesars, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay.  The mid tier places will probably be more generous.

When you have a small bankroll and going to be playing less than $25/blackjack hand over 4 hours (4 hours is the minimum most casinos would like to see you playing), places downtown (Golden Nugget acts more like a strip casino) and the casinos that cater more to locals (exceptions being Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch).  While the Hard Rock and Palms are more off strip, they act more like mid tier properties (and while I'm not sure about the current management at Hard Rock, the old management was tight about room comps in the years past).

In any case, hit up the casino host before you start to play.  They are your advocate and can offer what they call discretionary comps (esp if you lose a ton).

I second the Harrah's casino recommendation.
The points actually count for something at their properties. If you're just a medium roller you can get good comps. I stayed at Bally's for a week for free last time.

NYNY rated me for 6 hrs of play at $83 a hand.  They comp'd $130 in food to my room.  Is that typical, good or bad.  I will say I spend time with Ashley Jade which was the best action I've ever seen in Vegas ;)

I just did some math from days gone by, and came up with a comp allowance of $134.46.  I suppose that you could be upset about the 4 bucks, but I'd say that it was about right.

Personally, I'd go without the food, and bury my head in Ashley's lap instead.  But that's just me :)
