Maybe the Vegas economy isn't in that bad of shape after all....?

The economy here seems to be so good that providers agree to appointments and then never follow through.  For every appointment I've made in the past few weeks, I've been offered a last minute excuse of why they have to cancel.  I am a newbie (verified) and I've followed all the rules, been completely polite, etc.  I could mention specific names here...but I'm not out to ruin reputations or someone's business.  I would just like to know, is business so good in Vegas right now that it doesn't matter if new, potentially long-term, hobbyists are ignored?!

since you did not name names in your post. If you are talking agencies, that would be surprising, they always show, but take you money and provide nothing but aggravation.

Independents who are not well known here can do the same. However, most all the independents who are well know are also well known for their punctuality and not doing cancellations. There is also a very very small group of well known providers with great reviews who are infamous for no shows or goofy cancellations.

Again, not knowing who you are referring to (not saying you have to tell) it is hard to agree or disagree. However, with what little information you have provided I believe it came down to bad choices. Yes, sometimes we have to look at ourselves and the level of homework and investigation we did. All that can be said for sure it better luck next time.

I have to agree.  I'm not even in town yet and Ihave had one provider cancel on me.  We had out date set over a month ago and we shared several email exchanges between then and now.  I sent my final confirmation e-mail to her and she replys back that she she is not going to be in town.  Checking her web site, she looks to now be taking a short 'tour'.

Other providers in Vegas have een just as hard to get to make a committment from.  Seems like hey are just as flaky as always.

well ,I like to think of myself as being a good provider. with reviews to back it. I can definately say that i personally if am unable to make an appt due to personal family situation.ie:kids ,not feeling good or just plain old exhausted and had not the energy to provide 110% I always refer and help the hobbyist.. yes, that may not be the best answer. yet,i have found a close wonderful circle of providers I am sure smarty can better provide info since im computer illiterate or have a six year old pulling at me while she commands/demands me as a single (and loving it) mom. yet, reputation for the local ladies who are independent are trying to make ends meat. trust me unless you scared someone as stated  im sure i could refer 5 woman to you (maybe not last minute) that would love to do what we love doing to wonderful local men. yes,the prospect of long term is terrific.  especially when you find that ATF !! and he does not live 3000 miles away.. so please if you ever need a provider of quality and im not your cup of tea .. I would more than be happy to refer you to some great ,genuine, not agency women. Now,I cannot say they wont screen you etc. im not putting my reputation on them being perfect or not ten minutes late yet, we are out there .. and iam known to be happy to refer woman that are of quality/intelligence/and inner and outer beauty.
please be kind its hard on all of us these days ..but we appreciate you GUYS .. !!

"I am sure smarty can better provide info since im computer illiterate"   RAOTFLMFAO!!!

Hi lvprof,

Okay... so what "are" you doing when you set the appointment?

You did not mention how many providers cancelled on you, but however many there are it seems the only "constant" is you. Honestly, I'm really not blaming you. You said you are a newbie, your error could be so subtle that you havent caught it yet.

Okay... so lets figure this out.

You said you've gotten past the verification process. I'm assuming this is all EMAIL and you havent talked to her yet.

QUESTION 1: Once she's verified your info and you speak to her how does that go? Does it go good, neutral, badly?

Is the conversation short and sweet? Do you sit and talk for a while? What happens?

QUESTION 2: At what point are they cancelling?

Are they cancelling right after the appointment has been set? Right after the verification call? The Day before the appointment? The Day "of" the appointment?

If she took the time to verify you and set the appointment then she wanted to see you. You want to know how to keep providers from cancelling right? Believe it or not the answer to those questions will "totally" tell me what's going wrong.

Try spending some time at a retail store on a weekend, or in one of the locals casinos.  The good news is that it's easy to find places to park.  Just remember to turn the lights out when you leave.

As to the ladies you refer to, there are any number of possibilities...

They could be sick, or found a better offer.  Perhaps you spooked them with something you said.  Even though money is tight (and I've heard NOBODY say that it's booming), a couple hundred dollars isn't enough for any of them to risk being put in harm's way if you said something that made them wonder.

Indies, well reviewed indies, agencies, amps, barflies, or a quick trip to a brothel. It's all supply and demand ..

And when the market dries up they tour...

You really can't blame them .... Do you stay in town for one guy or tour that weekend and land 3 or 4 new clients ....

every provider sooner or later comes to Vegas with very little fanfair ...

But a well reviewed Las Vegas provider making a weekend stop in Chicago let's say .. could bring in big big bucks .....

You MUST always have a backup plan for Vegas !!!!

It's just part of the game we all love to play

My last trip to Vegas I had a NO SHOW .. she's well reviewed ... her loss ....

hobby safe, hobby well, hobby all you can be ...

The fact that they cancelled tells me that they still want to see you and that you didn’t do or say  anything wrong. This shit happens to all of us, so don’t take it personally. One thing I’ve learned is that patience with these chicks is generally rewarded, if you’re so inclined.

I was cancelled on by a girl because she was depressed over her current financial problems. I guess my little donation isn’t enough to prop her up right now. That’s OK. If and when her spirits are back up, I’ll be there.

It should be noted that there are excellent providers in Vegas who are super reliable. They really are, even if its only an hour. When I want a sure thing, I contact them.

Well, I don't stand people up, and I've only ever cancelled when someone started acting weird and stalker-like (2 times in 8 years, so far).

If you like curvy, lactating BBW's who squirt I'm your girl!

If not, good luck anyway :)

Hi there...  Sorry for your bad luck in your endeavors BUT I do not believe that it is fair to blame or catergorize every reputable "independent" provider in Las Vegas on your recent experience!!! I hope you have a better outcome in 2009... :)

Love, peace and joy to ALL...

                          Tia!!!  xoxo

Harder to schedule appointments.  Higher rate of cancellations.  I doubt it's the economy, but I'm not sure what the issue is. Holiday blues? Cold weather? My fat belly? I've got money to burn, but no one to see.

I was in Las Vegas during the last week of Nov and early part of December. I flew Continental to NYC and at the Las Vegas airport noticed that there was hardly any line to get through security even though I was flying out during a high traffic time of day. I asked the security folks why it was slow, and they in fact said that things had slowed down a bit over the last few days. i had much more time to kill at the gate as I had planned to arrive at the airport early since I thought that the security lines were going to take me a while. Even if Las Vegas is a providers market, overall it does seem like visitors to the city have decreased in the past few months.

Sitara Devi

...is New Years.  I've always been told the Strip is pretty much sold out during New Years.  Apparently that's not the case this year.  I just received an email offering a  substantial discount code for booking a room.  Naturally, I had already booked a room and now am considering booking another using the discount...then canceling the previous booking!  Is that "ethical"????  or just "amart"??

I had to last minute cancel on someone, but I got sick and I'm hoping he isn't thinking that I was being irresponsible by not being able to follow through. I've even had a fever :( I have talked to a few other providers who have come down with something in the last couple weeks also.

Wouldn't it just be horrible to have a provider NOT cancel on you, then give you something to take home to your wife and kids and cost you Dr bills on top of that?
