I've been interested in a little outdoor playtime preferably with some water involved and was wondering what the best solution was.

Anyone have experience renting houses with pools or hot tubs?  Is the house rental just a major pain compared to a nice strip hotel?

Or, are you able to get enough privacy in a cabana for at least some interspersed play time?

while renting a house may be a bit of a stretch for 1 guy, it can make sense for a small group of people to share a place for a night, weekend, or week.  I've heard of arrangements where a bunch of young poker studs rented out a large house for a few months to keep their expenses low.  Not that bad when you consider a private pool that goes with your hotel suite might run you way more (and cabanas aren't that private and the casinos do frown upon that kind of public activity since it risks their precious gaming license).

The local media has pointed out over the past year that the local ordinance may prohibit short term rentals of homes (mostly due to the minority of renters that throw wild parties that have way too many cars on the street, sometimes blocking driveways of residents, trash and noise issues, etc).  There are some websites that specialize in these short term rentals (can't recall any off the top of my head but I'm sure some of the other who have used them will chime in).  A daytime tryst shouldn't be cause for complaints.

For what you are looking for, I definitely recommend a short term house rental. quzi explained why hotels wouldn't be the best idea.

I have experience with this from my travels before finally purchasing in this area.  

PM or email me for details.  I rented anywhere from a week to a month and it is NOT outrageously expensive.  Honest.  Private, upscale, immaculate, etc...  Not guard gated but good private security systems and in upscale neighborhoods.
