Sluvious, I recommend doing a web search on the keyword "LPIN" (an acronym for "Legal Prostitution In Nevada") to find the major independent websites specificly discussing that topic). But to answer your question...
The main difference between the brothels and indie escorts in Las Vegas, Reno, or anywhere else, is that in all but a couple of houses there are no fixed prices (Shady Lady on U.S. 95 near Scotty's Junction and Inez's in Elko, NV being the exceptions). This means the details of your party have to be negotiated - as well as the price you will pay. Each lady is an independent contractor and thus, at least in theory, is free to set her own rates. So pricing in the brothels can vary quite a bit. However, certain houses have more expenses to cover than others and there is subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) pressure on the ladies from management to maximize their (and by inference, the house's) income. Other factors affecting price include the client's relative skills at negotiations, the lady's mood and personal financial situation, the location of the proposed party (her room, a VIP suite or bungalow, a "specialty" or "themed" room, etc.), the actitivities to be indulged in, and the overall length of the session. BTW, the ladies cannot and will not discuss pricing outside of the designated negotiation areas of their house. So you can't e-mail them or call and find out about about rates ahead of time (except for the aforementioned fixed-price houses).
The two large brothels in Pahrump (the nearest to Las Vegas) have a reputation for slightly higher rates - with the Chicken Ranch being generally more affordable than Sheri's Ranch. The Reno/Carson City area has seven large houses, which helps to keep rates somewhat lower, but the Moonlite BunnyRanch is usually viewed as the most expensive (partly due to the skewed impressions of negotiations as depicted on the HBO show "Cathouse"). The rural and small-town houses are often much more affordable, but more often than not offer a much more limited selaction of ladies (with a few of these operations, such as Inez's, only offering ladies of Asian heritage). But always keep in mind that each lady is different and each negotiation is different, even with the same lady. But even in the houses with reputations for the highest prices, you can usually find an individual courtesan willing to find a way to work within your budget.
That all being said, generally you can find parties in the brothels from around the same rate you might pay for a top Vegas indie to a slight to moderate (5%-20%) premium above those figures. You might have to negotiate with several ladies before you can find such a deal, but they ARE definitely available.
