Drinking and the ladies?

I'm curious, do most ladies prefer that a guy have alcohol in his room? I have had great times sober and after drinking all day but it seems my favorite times are the ones I have a hard time remembering lol. Does it make a difference to anyone?

I don't think it matters...

For me it doesn't matter if we have alcohol before our get together or during intermission.... Although water is always a good thing to have on hand while in Vegas

Personally, not I.

I'm like you, I don't need any extra's to have fun I'm already to GO!! So no alcohol for me!! I don't like to drink much anyway...DUI's are an SOB!! I drive myself...so drinking is a definite NO NO!!

that it is nice to have something to offer to a lady.

I mean if she comes what, you dont offer her anything?

It does not have to get to the point of memory loss but I ould personally be not impressed if a guy does not even offer me a drink at my arrival

I do have to say part of the fun for me is meeting downstairs at the bar and having a drink or two. I have had times where the girl and I get so caught up drinking and talking that we end up loosing track of time. The hanginging out can be almost as fun as the main event

I am always appreciative if a gent asks ahead of time if I have any drink preferences.There have been a few times where gents did not offer anything to drink not even a bottle of water.On an hour appt fine but on a multi-hour appt and no drink yikes!
I would ask the lady ahead of time if she wants to meet for a drink or have a bottle of alcohol in the room of course unopened(this should go without saying but you will be surprised how many offer drinks out of opened bottles).Or just a bottle of water or juice.

Motivations

As you can see, each lady feels differently about the topic so I doubt there will ever be a consensus.

That said, for me the matter of importance is not how much alcohol is consumed, but why... as well of how in control of your faculties you are. The same 3 drinks on a full stomach will have a much different effect than on an empty one (for all but the most hardened alcoholics) and if you are drinking to excess to avoid the reality of what you are doing, I'd rather not be around. However, if you are drinking for the enjoyment of the beverage, by all means, enjoy. Or if you are drinking to take off a slight edge of nerves, please, do relax and let me get to know the real you!

Besides, how great of a time can it be if you can't even remember it? I've been there myself a few times (not on dates, thank goodness, and not for years now) and I'm sure I was not so much fun for those I was with - what with the slurring, inappropriate commentary and nudity, stumbling around, vomiting, etc that usually happens when people get plowed. Where's the fun in that?
