Rate change question

So I've had a booked duo and a solo for a month and a half. Yesterday lost half the duo and switched the solo partner. Ok, I understand full day hobbyists and regulars take precedent. Confirmed two multi hour dates and check providers site today and notice 25% rate hike since yesterday. Should I ask the provider before the meeting or assume the rates in place from a month ago are in effect?

the rate at time of booking is still in effect & once you met the lady you are grandfathered in to those rates as well but it differs for each lady doesn't hurt to ask

I made an appointment well in advance with a provider and thought the rate on her website would apply.  Between the time I booked and the appointment (about 3 weeks) she increased her rates.

As she picked up the envelope at the end of the session, she demanded the additional fee.

Surprisingly, in my 20+ visits to Las Vegas since, I have not made another appointment with her.

My advice, as this just happened to me, is cancel.

In my case, I did ask the girl if the rate I booked at was grandfathered in a week before the long-scheduled appointment.

Her response was that I could pay her whichever rate I was comfortable with.

Well, okay, on the face it that seems reasonable.  But.  It is not saying "Of course I will honor the rate we booked at; you are grandfathered in."  Rather, there is a high percentage of probability that it is in fact going to negatively impact the mood and the vibe of the date, saying, "I want you to pay me my new rate, and it is going to be an issue on some level if you do not...."

There is so much talent to choose from, that if duos are being cancelled and rates are being raised I would go to the next hottie on your list....

i think a responsible provider would send you a message,

"you may notice a few changes on my website, including a rate increase. i just wanted you to know that the rate that you booked me at is the rate that you will see me at. and do not worry, you will receive the same great service!
xo"

i dont understand why someone would want a bad comment over $50 or whatever, makes no sense to me.

I had a situation where I had booked an appointment with a sweet, beautiful lady a couple weeks ahead of my trip to Vegas. Just a couple days prior to our meeting she sent me an e mail informing me that her rates had been reduced to her "summer rates". I e mailed her back to confirm which rate I would fall under. She said I would fall under the new reduced rate!! :-)

And the meeting was amazing!! :-)

She must have been running her "Summer Sale" for while and you probably missed it. But great for you that she was straight up.

Nope...When I booked 2 weeks earlier it was the normal rate. I would not have known about the reduced rate if she had not e mailed me and pointed it out. She was a sweetheart to do that.

Thanks for all the responses.  I sent a quick email about a few "changes" to the website and received confirmation that old rates are ok

Never hurts to ask, I guess...
If you feel generous or service is exceptionally good you can always tip her
if you feel like it.

Agreed.  But better than an extra $500 right off the bat for the same amount of time.
