mmmmmmmmm, not Tangerine last time I checked lol just a club.  If you are looking for ultra lounge, you may want to try Mix on top of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay, or even the Foundation Room on the top of Mandalay Bay.  Also, I've heard that Tao is nice although I've never been there.  Not sure if it's  an ultra lounge or a club personally.  Another good pick that I like is Moon on top of the Palms.  Hope this helps and I promise I was only joking with my opening comment no hostility.

There is a new ultra lounge opening this weekend at Mandalay Bay. It replaces the Island Ounge that sits in the middle of the casino floor. I am going to check it out tonight, if I can. I will gie you a review of it tomorrow, if I can. OTherwise, Blush in the Wynn is nice, Mix at the top of the Hotel at Mandalay Bay, excellent. ghostbar at the top of the palms, a little clubby, but they do offer table and bottle service, with an amazing view of the strip, from 50 stories up. these are more lounges, than clubs. You may want to try Tabu at mgm, as opposed to 54, because tabu is a lounge, where 54 is a bad copy of the original, which i used to go to, wayyyyyyyyy back in the day.

MGM: Tabu is the ultra lounge but unless you're going around midnight, I'd skip the chat with concierge about getting a table there.  Rouge is the mostly red bar on the restaurant walk which might suit you better.  There's not much room but the bar near the Crazy Horse Paris theater has interesting eye candy ever so often.

Mandalay Bay: ya, the Coral Reef Lounge closed being taken over by eyecandy, sorta asian, J-pop (japanese pop) theme.  Sadly, the Island bar in the middle of the table games is closed.

For pre-strip club activities, a taste via one of the burlesque lounges might be in order.  Pussycat Dolls/Pure in Caesars Palace is open earlier.  Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce which is on the Manalday Bay side of Mandalay Place (spitting distance from the concert entrance of House of Blues) usually has later performances that might cut into your late night visits.

notes on other suggestions made in this thread:
Tangerine (TI): Small lounge, might close soon, definitely need bottle service in here.  Also has burlesque shows though.
Mix (Mandalay Bay/thehotel): sky high restaurant turns into a nightclub/lounge.
Foundation Room (Mandalay Bay): this House of Blues connected private club is only open to the public on Monday nights (membership is something like $2k+/year and allows one guest? but valid at all Foundation Rooms across the country).  Also has a nice high view.
Tao (Venetian): Pan-asian restaurant turns into a nightclub/lounge (usually on upper levels).

FYI the restaurant switch to nigthclub usually occurs between 9:30 and 11.

Blush (Wynn): rather small lounge that opened over Labor Day weekend.  I'd get bottle service here on the weekend and since they decorated this place to appeal to women, the eye candy should be nice.  Also not a far trip to Sapphires or Spearmint Rhino from Wynn (call the strip club of choice in advance for a free limo ride).

Other hot clubs that I'd rather go to than Studio 54 (assuming bottle service and not mentioned): LAX (Luxor, new club), Pure (Caesars Palace), Tryst (Wynn), Moon (Palms; bonus is free access to Playboy Club a floor below), Body English (Hard Rock), Jet (Mirage; also has non-affliated Revolution Lounge on the other side of the casino).  Maybe Risque (Paris), ghostbar (Palms), Rumjungle (Mandalay Bay), and Voodoo Lounge (Rio).

Most nightclubs don't open their doors until at least 10 or 11 and sometimes don't start hopping until midnight (read the eye candy doesn't tend to come early).

If you still wanting to stay out late, Drai's (Bill's) would be nice for bottle service at an afterhours.  Some of the strip clubs have nightclub afterhours (Scores after 3am, Seameless after 4am) and also offer bottle service.
