You can avoid this problem altogether by putting your guest's name on the room (this assumes your date and you are far enough along where she doesn't mind telling you her real name, of course).
In the past Harrah's has been describe as particularly adverse to the hobby. One lady said they required id's from anyone going into the elevator's. She also said there was a work around to that problem.
MxGxM seems to be a hot bed for vice I don't know if this affects Hobbyists but I know a lot of providers screen the hell out of any clients "staying" at MxGxM .. I even know a couple of ladies who wont see any clients staying there.
I think as long as you are booking a reviewed provider and staying off the casino floors (unbelievably some people who post here still think that's a fun idea) you should be okay anywhere
(after thinking about this again I would say that as a provider I HATE going to HOxOTERSters and TROPxICANA because they both have very OPEN layout and staff can see every person who walks thru (although they seem to turn a blind eye to providers) its like being on a catwalk - everyone looks at you as you walk by ... no matter how discreet you try to appear it still feels terribly awkward getting thru those hotels... so do providers a favor and stay somewhere with a better layout :-P )

ruined my plans several times..security is very oppressive once they notice unaccompanied girls walking around, I suggest meeting the lady in the parking garage and walk in together.

And for me to meet someone at the parking garage just doesn't scream "Classy Dude", but that's just me. I've ALWAYS had my date meet me at the bar and they've never encountered some security check. Now I saw alot of CG's walking around at the Encore and they didn't seem to have any problems unless they were at the slot machine with their legs spread open, advertising a "Do me special" then I can see security asking them to leave. It's all about presentation and how they conduct themselves.
