The photos are not recent, and the balconies can only be utilized by the time share holders at the Palms Place. There was an accident that happened a couple of years ago.
Cosmo is much better. Palms is dead old and has not been a cool place to hang since I saw Ava Jade quite some time ago...

..... In the Palms Place One Bedroom Suites ?
At 1200 sq ft the photos look great but are priced at the older, maybe run down in need of updating price tag. Is that accurate ?
Anyone please !!!
Palms has seen better days.... I think Cosmo is way better , newer and the suites are beautiful .... With balcony s you can actually use... Have a great trip!

there are much better options in Vegas.
I haven't been in one of their rooms for over a year...I don't recall being overly offended by the suite that I was in, but also nothing too fantastic.
I'm curious as to what exactly you're looking for in a one bedroom suite? The extra room? The extra amenities? Different type of tub? Trip Advisor can help you a lot in your searches if you are seeking something(s) in particular.
Good luck and happy hunting!
the last time I stayed there, I was very disappointed. Patricia is right about the balcony only available to "owners". We were there for the AVN awards and stayed there for the kitchen, washer/dryer and what once was a classy room. The washer/dryer in our room did not work and the room was run down. Good luck in finding a place to your liking.
I am not sure if you are aware of a site named oyster.com
You can search hotels all over the US and the staff at oyster.com go to different hotels and take pictures of the entire property.
Very useful as the site shows pictures of different type of rooms the hotels have instead of relying on the hotel's website pictures which we know sometimes don't tell the true story.
I also like how their is an overview of the property they tell you the pros and cons of the properties.
If you are looking for a 1bdrm suite w/a big living room area try Sky Suites at Aria.
Villas at the Wynn these suites face the golf course if I am not mistaken depending on what side the hotel puts you.(Mind-blowing nice!)
Mirage has a suite as well which is very big.
And of course the Cosmo which it looks like you are looking at can never go wrong with their suites.
I swear the Cosmo has so many different type of plans every time I visit I am still amazed on the design of the rooms.
Good luck to you.
I was at the Palms in November. I had a great experience...but that was partly due to Jaydalee!!!! It is off the beaten path, but I am not a big strip guy as I like more intimate experiences.
So, the one bedroom suite I had had a great tub...In the living room area, and a fireplace. The kitchen was a bit dated, but very functional. True, the balconies are off limits, so if that is your thing, then that would be a deal breaker.
I just got back from some time at the MGM signature. I really liked the rooms, and two full bathrooms were a great thing. Good jacuzzi in one bathroom. A bit of a walk to MGM (walkway) but a hike to the center of the strip.
Cosmo... well, it is getting used HARD. It is THE hot spot on the strip, and it is showing wear in service, and the rooms I have been in are fraying at the edges due to max capacity bookings. It is pricy and you pay for the "hip" factor. I'm not a "hip" guy, so the edgy clubs and pool scene really don't appeal to me.
If I had to choose a great hobby spot I would choose in this order:
1) Palazzo
2) Signature at MGM
3) Venetian
4) Cosmo
Best of luck
Although I have never tried this hotel as a hobby location, I have stayed at the Cosmo a few times and cannot think of a better place to stay.
The balcony, during the summer nights, with a beautiful provider = heaven
Also, if you get the right room some of the showers are huge with a glass partition.
Ratings
1. Cosmo
2. Encore...their rooms have full wall mirrors, very nice touch
3. Aria...very modern, nice shower/bath combo and the best in room technology
4. Palazzo, classical and a very nice sitting room option.
5. Tropicana....OK, this is for the lower end of the budget, but they have nice rooms
