One could say this board is affected with same "malaise" that the GD board suffers from ; since it deals within a limited subject range ( hobbying/providing/erotica ) how much left is there to talk about ? Topics we've seen endless times like "I've fallen for a provider & don't know what to do" ? Or, the time honored, "Can someone recommend me a good Vegas provider" ? One could expand the range of the board to LV current events, lifestyle & the arts ( movies, tv, music ) but that idea has been repeatedly shot down. Maybe one day those topics will get their own board.

Other than that, LP, at a loss at how to "liven" up this board;only other alternative is allowing
unmoderated "trainwreck threads" to predominate,which I know you wouldn't wanna do & would not be productive to this board.

I am not from Vegas but for now play only in the city of sin.

Checking out the all important ads on a weekly basis in order to fill my bucket list which at present is obscenely long is a must.

It would however be interesting and informative to me as a visitor to Vegas with the change of seasons, if the board also included interesting information pertaining to the area itself.

For instance, do I want to stay at Vdara, lounging by the pool only to find out the hard way that I may be taking the chance of being fried like an ant under a magnifying glass ?

I try to be open minded, and let things sneak by that are on the edge of compliance, but this board is getting lifeless.  I know that ads are the lifeblood of the ladies here, and want them to succeed.  After all, I live here and want to see who's around and what they're up to, BUT...I firmly believe that we need more than ads to keep people wanting to read the board.  If they don't read, the ads are worthless.

Bump up discussion topics when responded to and let the ads drift down th page.
This way topics will be kept alive for more than the one day they currently are before they go onto page two when people can't be arsed to respond.

Don't moderate posters for so long. If they have to wait for hours to see their posts go up it messes up the flow of discussion and makes bantering impossible. For new members this is frustrating and they may well not bother.

One click should open the topic and all responses. Clicking them one by one is a pain.

Most moderated posts get posted within an hour, unless I'm asleep or on a plane.  Periodically, I unmoderate people without them asking, based on them not being dipshits.  If anyone out there who is currently moderated, posts regularly on this board and thinks that they aren't a dipshit wants to give it a try, feel free to PM me.

You have been misinformed. The real purpose of TER from it's very beginning (before you were a provider perhaps), was to warn hobbyists for the scams that at the time ran amok in this industry. With the advent of the internet provider and review systems all over it has become easy to sort out the wheat from the chaff.

The original purpose of TER (to many ladies surprise) was not specifically to create a forum for ads and lesbian chats. Sorry to burst you bubble. As phil has stated please keep posting the ads as you get the exposure you need. However, there are only so many times that posting yourself sucking a dick as in your ad above, whereby it looses its effectiveness. Just sayin.

The topic of this thread is getting the forum active in any manner that we can. It is always up to us locals to chime in and see what can be done. That includes you. You are local and participate on the board and hope you continue to do so.

However, if you chose not to respond any further to "this thread" or any other for that matter, it only shows what your interests here are. That would be to post ads, use it for lesbian chat and not be offended by anyone that might disagree with you.

Moderation should come from past post, not moderated until proven otherwise.  This is the only "discussion" board on the web I've everparticipated in that doesn't have real time discussion.  Now, I know the new version...the one most of us hated...would have allowed for  more functional discussions.  The back-to-the-futrure way we have now, doesn't allow for that because pages would/could go on forever with a never rending tree topic.

My only thought is open it up for everyone, until they have proven they can't be compliant, and allow for any topic on peoples mind.   The biggest question is, will that dilute the purpose and attention to ads? Because first and foremost, TER is about making money, not chatting?  And none of my ideas make money for TER

We could try talking about a certain (now ex) provider whose name included a Rocky Mountain state.  Wait, can't do that, it would violate the rules.  What about bringing up the fate of a former agency with a name that included domestic servants, specifically whether or not the owner was writing reviews of the girls and posting on this board?  Can't do that either.  How about Tasha complaining about a certain group of girls whose ads would post every week like clockwork, but never comment on anything, and whether or not those girls were part of an agency?  No, no, we shouldn't go there.  How about a provider that faked her own death?  I guess that's stepping over the line.

I am assuming your intent was to gauge the interest in the LV board by your opening statement.
I am not sure we need anything different here. There appears to be daily information flowing here, whereas at other boards, there may not be anything new for days or a week.
I looked at several other boards around the country and in Canada to see what they do different. From my admittedly non scientific bit of research, I see that there is more or less the same threads on the LV board as elsewhere. Basically a lot of ads, but this is of use in LV as I think we get a higher percentage of out of state lookers here than elsewhere. It is a guess, but it is based on the assumption that we locals only see the ladies somewhere around 25% of their total dates, versus the other 75% the ladies see people visiting from out of state. I am not sure if is is indeed correct, but I have seen even lower numbers for locals as compared to out of towers.
As someone already stated, TER has several boards for specific or not so specific topics. Under General Discussion, there was a thread on Berlin, which gave us details on events in that city that was of interest. The GD board has many great
points and I contribute when I feel I can add something of use.
Another board I check sometimes is The Erotic Highway. Useful information there as well.
I am restating anthers comments here, but I am content with what we have as I can go elsewhere in TER for other information.

I use to read this board all of the time.  Now due to the flood of ads, it is totally useless.  This board did offer some good exchanges of information at one time but no longer.  I have taken my postings and paid membership elsewhere and only stop in here one every couple of months.

And as said elsewhere in this topic, as long as boards, this one and others, are under the thumbs of moderators and their personal ideals of censorship, they will never truly be free 'discussion' boards.

This board has been moderated since at least 2004.  Not arguing your point, but that doesn't explain the lack of interesting postings.

I think the good Mr. Morse hit close to the mark - 1. They're aren't any "great" characters left, and 2. No sense of camaraderie.

I wince when I read back that second point, but it's the best word I can think of it to describe it. We had some hellatious knock down drag-outs on this board in years past, but at the end of the day everyone had respect for integrity. These days, I don't know. The rules of dialog have become terribly constricting.

Maybe that's good. Maybe it's best to sanitize the regional boards for the sake of fair and uncluttered advertising, and to let the commentary fly in the GD board. But GD is worldwide, and I don't feel much like discussion for it's own sake. I'd rather interact with the gals I might want to party with and the guys who I can trust to vouch for them.

You're an excellent Mod, LP, but you're stuck with the current road map for TER so I feel this board has probably seen it's heyday. I hope that's not true, but the people that I respect and used to read avidly (even if I didn't like them sometimes) are hardly chipping in anymore, if at all.

    A presence on TER can greatly impact a Providers income.  Unfortunately, some in a position of effecting that standing,  have in the past, even thru blackmail level antics and pressure, pushed away some of the most interesting and colorful characters who wouldn't cow down, and this very effectively put the pressure on current members to play the game the TER way for fear of being banished.  This certainly, as others have mentioned here, has resulted in the level of boredom we now have here.  Will "power tripping"  and pressures of this kind ever change?  I doubt it.

    LP, I'm sure you know that none of this is directed toward you.
