The Stones still rock, although Keith now lives in Connecticut in a perfectly landscaped, gated community. And after reading Keith Richard's autobiography, I am amazed he is still alive.
There is a great story in the Steve Jobs book of how Steve Jobs took a new Macintosh to give to Mick Jagger when Mick was in New York. Mick did not know who Jobs was and didn't use computers, so the meeting did not go well.
But don't go to any Bob Dylan concerts. His voice is gone and when I went he is "reinventing" his old songs to the point that he did Like a Rolling Stone and I did not even recognize it.
ob and Willy... probably the two greatest poets of the 20th century.. and proof positive that drugs are good for you as they invade the 21st century....
Unfortunately I've too many commitments this weekend to make it over...although I was tempted. I saw the Moody Blues for the 5th time couple weeks ago. Ahh, the good OLD days of Rock n Roll!!
I love the late sixties, early seventies Stones. But what really blew me away was the "Some Girls" era. Thanks to you, it's queued for a listen from front to back.
I don't consider this track off TER topic. I am still looking for the "Far away eyes".
I'm not 60 yet (LOL), but I'm a Shakira fan. I also like Beyonce (and Madonna).
I have a few more years before I'm eligible for the over 60's board, but I grew up listening to the Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles, as well as other 60's and 70's bands
