I love downtown and can't wait to see the revamped Plaza.  Wish I had a Vegas trip on the calendar!

Is anyone else excited to see the new and improved Plaza Hotel?  

I'm especially curious about their new nightclub The Swingers Club.  They'll be having a huge gala tonight and I've very tempted to go...

Does anybody know if Firefly will still be there?

Hopefully this one will include sexy people as well.

I might be wrong, but I think it is called the Swingers Club because it has a golf theme to it.  I do not think it is the other type club.   Any way that is what I get out of the article and some other searches on the internet.

It actually looks like between them, the El Cortez (which is still doing things- they're about to open their plans are to put in a pool next to the Cabana Suites), the Gold Spike, the Golden Nugget, the Golden Gate (did some refurb too), downtown is getting some love. Heck, maybe some of the ladies will actually be willing to go downtown soon!

(Fremont Street East is actually kinda nice- much more a locals scene at places like Beauty Bar and the Griffin.)

Next on the list is probably one of the Fitz or Vegas Club (both of which are dumps), plus the Lady Luck (which has been closed since forever, it seems).

Also, Swingers Club is minigolf and a bar. And there's also an "erotic hair salon":

....the "lingerie/bikini" hair salon.  For some reason, though I pay providers for all sorts of sweaty fun activities, I HATE getting my hair cut.  Somehow it seems like an invasion of personal space.

Maybe the distractions at this new place will help.  

Firefly* left when Plaza closed and will be opening in Henderson hopefully this year.  Possibly going back downtown soon, but not in casino.
