Never done the hobby before but it certainly does intrigue me. Despite the fact that I'm sure it's all legitimate and nothing would happen, I am scared to death of giving my information.
Going to Las Vegas next week. Where can I go for maybe 2 hours, sit, relax, maybe have a private dance or two if I like one and drink some beer with friends. I would like to spend a few hundred at most and not be constantly hounded...suggestions?
Unless you go to a licensed brothel in NV (closest to Vegas are in Pahrump in nearby Nye County) there are no legal exchanges of sex for money in Las Vegas (and Clark County). The many reviews posted here and elsewhere are stories of alleged sessions that may have taken place. Lots of providers use the grey area of charging for their time. There hasn't been a crackdown on that, at least on a large scale.
If you have an issue with giving out your personal information directly to a provider, you can utilize some of the third party verification services, Date-Check and Preferred411 being two of the more popular ones for Vegas (and RoomService2000 being more popular in the midwest but is used here by a few). There's a small charge for using the service and you get access to the ads of the providers that also use the service. Of course, if your personal information is going to cost you a relationship, security clearance, business/work, if it came out, then maybe going the legal route and paying cash (cause plastic leaves a paper trail and no one in this business takes checks) is the only way you will be able to participate.
You want to go to a strip club with friends for a couple hours (assuming evening/night). Finding a club where you won't be constantly hounded will be impossible. Dancers are going to come up to your group and try and get you to spend money on them. It's how they earn a living. For the most part, a dancer's tips won't be made on stage in Vegas, it's made in table and VIP dances. Since you mention beer, that rules out the nude clubs (except Palomino). Drinks aren't cheap but there are drink specials depending on the club. Spearmint Rhino does a $100 on certain bottles and beer specials between 1pm-8pm. Cheetah's does a $100 any bottle on Sundays. Deja Vu Showgirls does a happy hour between 4pm-8pm $3 domestic/well, Tue $2 call its, and some others. I think Hustler Club was offering free beer between 4pm-7pm, $1 on some domestic beers on Sun/Mon. Treasures was doing a happy hour between 4pm-7pm for $1 domestic/well and 2for1 premium. When you consider that a domestic bottle might run you $8-12, call drink with red bull is over $20, trying to save a few bucks when it's slow (some clubs don't open til 4pm, others are 24/7) and the lookers haven't show up for work yet, you might not get hassled as much earlier during the happy hours. Best thing to do is to pick a club, call them to pick you up in their "limo". While not always the case, many clubs will waive the $20-30 cover (tipping the driver is always a good idea), good idea to ask when booking the ride.
For dances, topless places usually run $20/song table, $100/3 song VIP, and anywhere from $400-600/hour VIP (some have 15 min rates, most usually have 30 min). Some dancers will charge more so be aware. Also note that VIP use typical requires a couple VIP drinks (costs more than non-VIP) or the hourly cost may include a bottle (off brand bubbly) and VIP bouncer/waitress are looking for tips. While the dancer might hint at extras in VIP, don't expect any. They are pros at extracting the most cash from you as possible.
If you want a book, LasVegasAdvisor has a book called Topless Vegas, as a softbound and ebook (PDF not sure if they have nook/kindle versions) with optional updates for a year. Small price to pay for info on Vegas strip club, adult shows and pools.
