No it wasn't a cheap shot at NYC . In fact I love NYC !!! I lived there for a year had the time of my life . If it wasn't so expensive I would be there right now !!

I just used NYC cause most people think it is an unsafe place ......but they don't know until they live there . please take no offence. I am sorry I really didn't mean it like that .
Peace ;-)

I was advised last night from one of the girls who was caught in one of the LE sweeps. The undercover came into her room, stripped totally naked, layed on her bed and got a message and while she had his "tool" in her hand, the rest of the Vice unit was at the door.  She tried to protect her "customer" but he introduced himself as LE and got dressed and left.

Remember Nevada does not have entraptment-laws to protect us.

I want to make it clear that LE CAN NOT just bust into a clients room . They can only have a set up in a room to bust a girl . Or they can set up an incall place.( to get guys )

So as long as a guy is in his room and he hires a well known provider , he is safe from LE.

Your right no entrapment-laws so asking the guy -Are you a cop ?? will do you no good .

Yes they will do anything they want to make that bust .But really it doesn't matter once you walked into that room , no matter what you do or what you say .........your busted.

They can lie in the report about what happened cause after all it's the cops word against "the hookers" word and who do you think the court believes ???

Ladies easy solution ,  screen , screen and screen !!

Damm elections  LOL LOL
Be safe .Thanks for the update .

Just on the news .........children missing , children being molested , meth labs , drug dealers , a robbery at gun point in broad day light !!!!
Drunk drivers causing accidents killing people , people speeding crashing and killing people , gang violence …….....shall I go on ?? geez right now NYC sounds safer then Vegas ;-)

Stop wasting tax payers money and deal with real crime !!!

LE’s concerns –“ hooking causes std’s” ……gimmi a break . So If I have sex for free with 5 different guys on the same day that’s ok but if I get paid now I am a hooker and I can cause std’s .
“Hooking leads to drugs” …………well I don’t do drugs . How many actors , singers, celebrities  are on drugs ?? many !!!
So does this mean acting leads to drugs ?? ( rhetorical question )

How lame is that ??

hey Cindy, don't take cheap shots at NYC like that. And I have some news for you...NYC IS safer than Vegas. NYC is the safest big city in the country.

You are so right Cindy, it is all a farce and you know that these cops love doing this. They get to have fun at your expense. They love going to clubs and paly around with strippers and have a good time  and then they play the vice card and bust a girl. They are arrogant little B*$tards that don't want to do the dirty work of cleaning up the streets from disease ridden street girls and pimps and drug  dealers. It is a lot more fun to go after consenting adults.
Their logic is about as meaningful as their use of radar guns for making driving safer. It is BS, they  use it solely to make money for the city, and ther is no proff that is makes driving safer. Nevermind that some idiot just ran a red light a block away  and killed someone, or that someone is getting physically attacked.

I have been screening, screening, and screening.  I know I have lost some legit clients but I guess that is the way it goes because *most* of my clients totally understand and with few exceptions are willing to provide personal info I need to verify them.

Question though.  Does anyone know the source of these busts?  Were they TER by chance or some other source like craigslist?  I read that there were some CL busts in Reno last week, but I haven't ran an ad on that site since I started getting some good reviews here!  TER clients have been like gold to me!

They bust from everywhere .CL, eros, vibe , exotics , here , the other board , They know what is going on , they know all the sites ....but it doesn't matter have a good screening system and your 99% safe . well there is no 100% in anything in life ;-)

Yes we sometimes lose legit clients but my motto is "better safe then sorry "

yeah, I sure like to know if my client is a TER VIP with at least 10 reviews over a period of time, that sure seems to help.

what I want to know is this:  if there is no entrapment law here, then why aren't the participating cops being busted too?  after all, they are certainly "guilty" of solicitation and in the example cited, guilty also of actual participation in ... (the dreaded deed).

Don't know what it is called , maybe I miss worded it . They are allowed to entrap in Vegas . Yes they can make set ups and do anything they want and get away with it.

There is no law to protect us ladies from what LE does. They can solicit and get away with it.
They don't have to say they are cops when asked.

Now I am not sure they are allowed to have acts done to them but then again it's the cops word against yours . You say I gave him a BJ , he says no ......no way to prove it.

Since he is a cop , they will take his side of the story . Of course that isn't right and it isn't fair but that is just how it is.

In all parts of the law ( traffic , drugs, shootings ) Cops do many things they shouldn't be doing . Some do get in trouble , some get away with it .

carry a little spy camera or at least an audio recorder ;) then get them on the witness stand, have them tell a bunch of lies, cross examine them and get them to lie more, and then introduce the *real* evidence.  now that would make it all worthwhile.  well, almost.

Pretty good idea …….....unfortunately when you tape someone ( audio or video ) with out their knowledge,  it doesn’t hold up in court ;-(

I always wanted to be a lawyer ……..no wait escorting is so much more fun ;-)

a good lawyer could get that admitted ;)

That means if you want to tape a conversation between yourself and another person, it's legal.

Perhaps you better read you're attachment again BoneBoy. That is not what I read.

The other party must have given consent or their is an emergency.

The emergency part seems to be referring to court orders- but the Nevada Supremes ALSO seem to interpret this statute as an all-party statute.

http://www.scn.org/~bk269/illegal_taping.html

That being said...

http://www.rcfp.org/taping/consent.html

"A Las Vegas animal trainer was secretly videotaped while physically abusing orangutans backstage at a show. The footage was later broadcast on "Entertainment Tonight," and the trainer sued for defamation, invasion of privacy and intrusion. The Nevada Supreme Court reversed a $3.1 million judgment awarded by the state district court, in part because the trainer did not have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the curtained-off area next to the stage. Furthermore, the court held that even if the trainer did have such an expectation, the invasionof his privacy was not "highly offensive." (PETA v. Bobby Berosini, Ltd.)"

I'd like to see a cop argue in court that he had a reasonable expectation of privacy running a sting.

Ben Matlock1903 reads

The plantiff's "Nevada Country Lawyer" still fail to make a case for not having the consent of both parties.

He would prefer to make reference and anologize the subject matter to civil case law and compare fine upstanding ladies of the community to orangutans.

You're Honor, I fail to see the connection.

NRS 200.650

http://www.leg.state.nv.us/nrs/NRS-200.html#NRS200Sec650

" NRS 200.650  Unauthorized, surreptitious intrusion of privacy by listening device prohibited.  Except as otherwise provided in NRS 179.410 to 179.515, inclusive, and 704.195, a person shall not intrude upon the privacy of other persons by surreptitiously listening to, monitoring or recording, or attempting to listen to, monitor or record, by means of any mechanical, electronic or other listening device, any private conversation engaged in by the other persons, or disclose the existence, content, substance, purport, effect or meaning of any conversation so listened to, monitored or recorded, unless authorized to do so by one of the persons engaging in the conversation."

Sounds like one-party to me. Apparently the part about court orders refers to wiretapping (see N.R.S. Ann. § 200.620 and 630, above).

The part where it's two party stems from Lane v. Allstate:

http://caselaw.lp.findlaw.com/scripts/getcase.pl?court=nv&vol=114nvadvopno125&invol=2

But that refers to PHONE conversations. I've been using wiretapping and surveillance interchangably. Shouldn't, as apparently they are treated differently under Nevada case law and statute. I regret the error. This is why I shouldn't be a lawyer, even on the Internet.

The point is moot, though- since I suspect an ordinary person in their hotel room DOES have a reasonable expectation of privzacy, as opposed to a cop running a sting...thus bringing a hidden mike or camera to an appointment would not only be a Bad Idea in terms of violating discretion, it could subject you to nasty civil lawsuit.

So I join in the motion to dismiss. With prejudice. ;)

Where's the nearest bar counselor?

LOL you guys crack me up.
Anyway my lawyer says that'll be the day when a cop has any expectation to privacy in his hotel room or anywhere else when he has full intent to use the contents of the conversation in court. And that law also allows taping if one person to the conversation approves.  I say tape away and let the dorko prosecutors try and keep it out. Ha!

Interesting that it is OK that they video tapoe you without your consent becasue they are L.E. Maybe a tape recording of the client, with his permission asking his name and that you are taping it just for your own protection  so if he turns out to be L.E. you have a legal recording. And if not once the session is over, you demonstrate to the client that the recording is erased.

While I am certainly no lawyer (wouldn't want to be) it seems like entrapment is entrapment and is a violation of Constitutional law.
And cops  never have to worry about "breaking the law" to nab someone. THey lie , do whatever it takes to make an arrest. I even had one CHP  stop me for doing 98MPH on I 15 in CA on the way homefrom Vegas back in 2003. When he told me that I about came unglued as I was certainly not doing anything close to that, and if fact was in a group of cars and I spotted this idiot almost a mile away. But I asked the right questions regarding how he nabbed me and I  contested it and won, saving myself $335 and a two point traffic violation.
But yep they will do anytihng they can, they are above the law

Grant you they are everywhere and trying to get girls from any source avaiable to them, they had a huge sting from CL.  I've heard it from many girls that nothing is safe right now unless there are verfiable sources.  I also have lost some clients that I know were probably safe but had no reference.  Also, asking for job information isn't even a good way to screen as it is easy for LE to set it up so another cop answers the phone and verifys that so and so works there.  So just everyone be careful and be safe.  Only see people you know or can verify threw trusted providers.

" Also, asking for job information isn't even a good way to screen as it is easy for LE to set it up so another cop answers the phone and verifys that so and so works there."

Yep oh so true . I few years back that is how they got many LA girls .Appointments were set up in advance . If the girls would have talked to each other they would have all figured out that they all had appointments on the same day at the same place .

...in that it's an election year! From now until November, providers in Nevad and across the country will have to be extra careful in avoiding these ridiculous wastes of taxpayer money. These "cops" should be out investigating terrorists and other violent criminals instead of busting ladies who are just trying to make a living.

Of course with our current (a)moralistic political "leadership" trying to stamp out sin at all costs, it's no surprise. Heaven forbid that anyone is out there actually paying someone to have sex with them - [insert sarcasm here] something MUST be done about that! Think of the CHILDREN!

Meanwhile, sub-human scum roam free to plan acts similar to yesterday's unfortunate events in Munbai, India. Our priorities are so screwed up in this country (just look at the Janet Jackson incident), it's no wonder the rest of the world doesn't respect us anymore.

Hang in there and play safe!

Warmest regards,
Speed Racer

P.S., I'll be in Reno next week for CWMC-10, the annual gathering of online brothel-goers. Many who will be there will remember you from your days in LPIN. I sure they all miss you and wish you could have come up to see us all. Take care, Cindy!

Actually all the time LE sets up busts . But around election time even more so and they are sure to make all stories public.............yeah like that is going to change my vote- whatever!!!

So women who marry men for money and not love shouldn't they be arrested too ? ;-)

I am not worried because I screen , screen screen .also so many regulars you don't even have to worry about anything.

Sorry I can't make it to Reno. Can't get away , Vegas is busy.Tell everyone I send my love hugs and kisses.Have fun , be safe  xoxo CindySpice

Newbie concern here.  So, is it safe to say that LE wont send a female officer to a room on the strip and bust in/knock on the door once things get started.  I find it hard to believe that they would put her in that position.  I've pretty much decided not to do incall to avoid LE.

Yes typical news from city to city. Nothing in that article that I haven't read or heard before . Old news ..........

But see those girls don't screen . You have to screen , screen , screen.

and you wanted to be legal. Ma nish ma? Hakol beseder?

Hakol beseder  toda;-)

It wasn’t about being legal ……….BTW I still don’t see where I am doing anything illegal.
I got tired of the agencies crap …………lots of stories about that , but you’ll have to read my book ( not yet published)  for more info .

Anyways since internet escorts were not yet around . I thought best to go “legal” ( notice quotation marks )
I am very glad that I did . More stories to tell and I did bank it . but less then a year later the internet started .
Before I knew it so much business came to me in Vegas via internet ,  it just didn’t make sense to go back .

Guys could get more for their buck and I could pocket more ………. It was no brainer …………… of course still have to pay taxes.!!!!
If I am paying taxes on my income well it should be legal .
Still in my mind this is very legal . No drugs , minors, Pimping  or abuse are involved .

We all do “illegal” things …………….. I bet many drive 50 miles in a 45 mile zone ;-)
How many people drink and drive
Hey what I do at least I am not killing people;-) Well maybe sometimes I kill them but only in a good way  LOL LOL

I did drink and drive once..........but it was only two beers

Cindy. You have to be praised for every single comment you have made so far on this subject of Escorts using common sense, self-protection procedures against laws (that are not based on any moral codes, but purely on financial revenues for local Government and Casinos) Casinos who would love to have every punters bread on the table, and not in a girl's purse. Whether she be a professional or an amateur merely seeking free drinks at a bar - or whatever. Many parts of the USA enforce outdated moral laws against 'Working girls' that were thrown out the door countless years ago in other Westernized societies. Those modernized societies recognized that a democratic society works on the principle of supply and demand, and consequently have sent their efficient Law Enforcement Agencies out on far more serious matters than mere Victimless  'crimes.'The argument that local LE are protecting society against sexually transmitted diseases is totally ludicrous. The opposite is the truth. Intelligent professional girls are a thousand times safer than 'good time' amateurs out for a fling for the evening. It's the ignorant that spread disease and although they exist in all walks of life, intelligent people usually know far better. So, you are right, screen, screen and then screen again - and the old adage 'When in doubt, walk away' is the only safe way to go. On my own website I have a page lifted from a USA published guide magazine that was designed to make those aware of protocols that should often (not always) be applied and why they exist. And although all rules were made, at times, to be broken, some form of guideline to 'both sides of the fence' is necessary!

I read the article and followed up by sending the editor  a response  and it would be nice if they would publish it but I am sure they won't, but keep looking in case they do.

I'm from Reno, we don't have a board here, so I sometimes visit my 'sister city' board. LE did indeed bust CL a few weeks ago, they bust the streetwalkers every 2 or 3 weeks too. About every 2 or 3 months, they bust guys. After the CL bust, several people wrote some rather unflattering things about LE on CL, all appropriate and accurate. A few years ago, one of the city councilwomen referred to LE as 'a bunch of thugs!'. At a city council meeting! Hilarious!! In my opinion, the biggest reason LE would rather work speed traps, seat belt fundraisers, and stings is because it's much safer than dealing with real criminals....thus proving themselves to be the cowards they really are. Plus, it makes the city a huge amount of money, so they can hire even more LE to make even more money...you get the picture.

It is a shame they have to waste time and valuable manpower and funds on this instead of concentrating on real crime.  Good luck, it is a jungle out there.
