Nothing wrong with a girl that has "8" scores in appearance. One of the few ATF's that I had was an "8" in looks & a "10" in the sack; she was fucking fantastic !

"Once in a lifetime" is just a figure of speech and it was never intended to limit a reviewer to grant that rating to only one provider. You can use it as often as you like. I like to compare it to women that we find in the entertainment industry. There are many "10s" that come to mind for me (and you all are free to agree or disagree with me about my choices), viz; Angelina Jolie; Shania Twain; Heidi Klum; Halle Berry; Penolope Cruz; Faith Hill; Jessica Simpson; Beyonce; Salma Hayek; Beyonce; Charlize Theron; Naomi Campbell; Beyonce; Whoopie Goldberg (j/k )

So I just use the verbage of the appearance rating as a guidline and not a rule. Supermodels I would generally rank in the '10' range but there are a whole lotta women who can rank in the 'Model Material' or '9' range; whether they be swimsuit models, face models or models for the JC Penney clothing catalog.

I think that the ladies who we find in the escort world are largely already way more attractive than the women I encounter daily in my civvie life; they're already better than average.  Most of those everday women would be lucky to earn even an average score from me.

However, I try not to judge others' scoring of a providers' appearance unless I've been alone, naked in the same room as her.

In the limited time that I have been involved in this lifestyle I have not been with a lady that "I" consider to be a " once in a lifetime 10 ".

I have booked women based on their review scores of other hobbyists only to find that my own personal rating of their appearance to be somewhat lower than that which was given.
I understand that one mans 8 is another mans 10 but in some instances I believe that there may begin a trend of 10's present in a ladies reviews that the next guy is hesitant to break. That practice in my opinion is wrong.

To me meeting this level of attraction takes damn near perfection to achieve and is not entirely based on look alone. My "10" will be what I consider to be intimidatingly beautiful with a sexual intensity that radiates from every pore.

I certainly am not model material and I know it. If asked I would rate myself a strong 6(nice) or 7(attractive) in that same numbers game that we all use to assign beauty.

Up to this point in my hobby career, of the 18 ladies that I have shared time with, five of them were rated with an 8 for being (really hot) and the rest with a 9 for being what I consider to equal (model material).

There is nothing wrong in using those numbers that fit perfectly in your own eyes that will best describe the lady that you share time with.

TER's system is arguably the best in the industry, but it is still quite subjective.

Are you simply going to take the word of another hobbyist 1-10 rating? How about your favorite P&R and Sports board poster? would you take his word on what constitutes an eight in appearance?

I just returned from LV where I had the opportunity to spend erotic evenings with 3 of LV’s finest (there are soooo many).  Now I am in the process of writing reviews but in the back of my mind is the fact that when I post the reviews I will have to mark a box indicating my assessment of their appearance.  Does anyone else have problems in this area?

To start with, for me to have a chance to date any of these ladies is “One in a lifetime”.  Now on to appearance…all 3 IMO were absolutely stunning…but based on definition, one and only one can get a 10?  Or if I say they were all 10”s is that fair to my fellow hobbyists as they use my review to make their choices.  I sense that many reviewers have chosen the out of 10’s across the board.

I have by and large dated ladies, highly reviewed here on TER.  They are “Really Hot”, they are not models (thank god) and by definition they cannot all be ONE.

My out…8’s across the board…there is no question that they were all “Really Hot” and I find myself unable to judge the nuances of the differences between 8, 9, and 10.

Here's my rule of thumb on appearance scores: if 80% of hobbyists & up give a provider an "8" ,then it's GENERALLY ( if not always the case ) accurate.

Numbers are relative, although if you're going to use them at face value then you need to consider the environment and the source. In fact, in reality I would be pleased with any or all of attractive, hot, and look like a model.

Note that this isn't a blind study, so don't expect a gaussian curve. Behind every review, some guy originally decided to part with his hard earned cash because he liked what he saw. (How much business do you think a lady gets who doesn't publish photos in any way - even if somewhat blurred?). For myself, I research and sort by looks and performance, so I tend to go into it looking for 9s and 10s, hence, they usually are.

Use the numbers the way you feel comfortable, but be consistent. Your review rating history will reflect it, and we'll understand what we're looking at.

are most useful. Yes, looks are very subjective, but reviews and ratings are supposed to help others decide, not to make someone look good. Someone who gives out 9's and 10's to everyone doesn't help me sort out who is really hot vs. average, because someone's 9 becomes his "average". Also, it doesn't allow for anyone who is truly the "one in a lifetime" and is better looking than anyone who was previously reviewed to be given a rating that reflects her relative looks.
I think many hobbyists give ratings are based only on the providers that the hobbyist has seen rather than on all women (in person or pictures) they have seen. If they've only seen 3 providers, then their basis of comparison is small and will give higher ratings because they've the latest hot provider is now their new "one in a lifetime". So those 10's are really 9.5, 9.7, 9.8. To me, since 10 is the highest, and decimals aren't allowed, 10 has to be perfect, the most beautiful woman one has ever seen (not just the most beautiful woman one has had sex with).
Ratings far outside the norm don't help other hobbyists because if one sees a provider based on the rating and finds she is a 7 instead of a 10, then it will be a disappointment. Again, we all recognize that there is a wide range of subjectivity, but ratings become less reliable/useful if they are too far out of the norm (i.e., I discount them or throw them out).

The performance ratings are even worse.  While certain services are listed in the instructions as requirements for points, many providers are overrated and don't offer or provide the services necessary to get a 9 or 10.  Just look at some of the reviewers who give so many 9s and 10s.

Some guys can't believe they got some action and are so excited they give out 9s and 10s as if their life depended on it.  And some providers offer . . . for good reviews so the whole thing is arbitrary.

I have seen providers with 9's to their credit that I wouldn't fuck on a bet, and as a gambler I hate welchers. lol I know I'll get a lot of disagreement from providers and white knights, but there are some downright fucking ugly women that are getting 8s and 9s and even 10s.

Truth be told, my scale is the only one that is important to me, if I am reasonably assured that the hottie in the pics is the same one I am going to see, that is good enough for me. Just because some guy was MP67 type,(sorry Mikey) blind fucking drunk and gave a girl a ten means nothing to me.

Appearance ratings are subjective, skewed and meaningless.

Are the photos recent? Yes or NO

Is she girl in the photo? Yes or NO

Does she look worse, better or exactly like in the photo?  


Given this information AND photos every potential client should pick what is appealing to HIM at that particular moment. Some men have specific type, some like to sample, there is no reason why someone's preferences should influence others.

I've seen too many providers pressure for high appearance scores to buy this one as a general principle. There's a huge self-selection problem as well (guys will gravitate to ladies they feel are more attractive).

I think TER's scoring system is the weakest part of the site- appearance scores are screwed up, performance scores are conflated with which acts are performed (so they do not properly measure how things were performed). I'd be happier with descriptions of what was performed as part of the review, plus two simple yes/no questions: "Is the provider the person in the pictures?", and "Are the pictures an accurate representation of the provider?".

An 8 is world class. A 7 is pretty damned close to world class. An 8 is a young Sophia Loren. It's Bo Derek at 23 years old. A 9? I don't know if I've ever met a 9 unless it was Cathy in college that I never ever got to bang. A 10? I did see a 10 last November while at Aria. She was playing blackjack on the other side of the Pit and she was absolutely fucking perfect in every detail. I lost several hands from the distraction.
