Price increase for the large conventions?

As we all know when there is a large convention in town hotel prices increase.
Do providers put up their prices during these conventions such as CES, etc.?

No,why would I?

That makes no sense to me to have one rate when there is no conventions and another rate because there are a lot of conventions in town.My rates are my rates regardless if it is convention season,NYE,or a holiday.
