What are some of the nicer restaurants in town?  I am looking to spend about $200.00 for dinner for my "date".  Thanks for all the help.  Hobbying Rules!

Lately i have been hearing lots of good thing about Drai's(not the afterhours party but the restaurant itself)from passengers.Consistently over the years I have heard a lot of my cab customers rave about both Micheals at the Barbary Coast and for a steak and seafood type intimate dinner The Tillerman.Of these i have only tried The Tillerman,Had a great meal, nice atmosphere, would go back.                        Taxibob

I've eaten at several strip restaurants. Here are my top 4 in order:Top of the World (steakhouse) - Stratosphere TowerTreasure Island SteakhouseAntonio's (Italian) RioHamada - (Sushi) LuxorGreat place to eat and not blow alot of money - Pyramid Cafe Luxor...Tips for a more enjoyable evening and to save money:1)Get a booth - especially if you're with Cindy Spice. It's a great way to get "close"...but YMMV :-)2) Biggest expense of the check CAN be alcohol (wine, drinks). However, most providers are social drinkers. Best bet is order wine by the glass (not the bottle). Also order non-sparkling water (bottle). At most, myself and my date will drink 2 glasses of wine each. At 6-8 dollars a glass compare to 50-140 dollars a bottle (yes I've recently spent $140 on a bottle of wine), you do the math.3) Sharing (again YMMV), most entrées are "al la carte" meaning no salad, potatoes, veggies, etc... Sometimes sharing a side dish makes more sense. Example.. I like Caesars salads but I never eat all of it. Ask the waiter to bring to plates. Sometimes you can share bake potatoes or vegetables..... BUT.... whenever possible... get a dessert for two... It's the best part of dinner!4)I normally get coffee with Baileys Cream... I wasn't a big fan of coffee BUT NO THANKS to Brie Michaels, she got me hooked on the stuff as an after dinner drink (big grin)... As for cost, out of the 4 restaurants I mentioned, the most I spent was $206 at Treasure Island. That included a $30 tip and we had everything we wanted - live Maine lobster, steak and lobster tail, wine, mixed drinks, salad, side dishes, after dinner coffee, and dessert! The food at both Treasure Island and Stratosphere are excellent. But, the Stratosphere has the view of Las Vegas.Hope this helps.
