Has anybody stayed or been in the new remodeled widescreen rooms at the Excalibur been thinking about using it as a base of operations since its so close to everything else on that side of the strip, and the price.

New beds ( it was about time ) New Decor.........
Ok it is no Wynn or Bellagio,but compared to how run down it was,it almost feels like the Wynn LOL LOL , ok not really......but I must say I was impressed,and I am not easly impressed.

Really? Because...wow, was the Excalibur a dump! Better off staying at Luxor

Not talking about the Casino area just the rooms ..............and right now Luxor is looking more like a dump then Excalibur.

Oh and to get to the rooms in the pyramid towers is so scary the elevator doors get stuck , and you have to pray to god you will even make it safe to your room.
I was a big Luxor fan ………….right now not so much. ;-( ;-(

I've got to agree with Cindy on the Luxor. It WAS my regular place to stay when in Vegas, but not any more. 2 years ago, when staying in the towers, the elevators died, resulting in a 19 story stair climb for me (this was in August, by the way; the stairwells aren't AC, so it was a little stuffy LOL). Then, this past year, I stayed in the jacuzzi suites, and was shocked at how shabby and run down they and the hallways were, and service was terrible when I complained. Even though they offered me a free night the next time I'm in town, I'm not taking them up on it.

Hmmm, Still couldn't pay me to stay at Excalibur and I don't stay at Luxor anymore, thats the only place I used to stay when I came to Vegas. Now I stay in one of the two story suites at the Golden Nugget, have the last three times I've been out there...now those are great rooms

Pray you make it safe to your room? What are the crypts and bloods having gang wars in the hallways now? lol, Or do you mean something might fall on your head? lol, I'd worry about something falling on me, not to worried about anyone jumping me or anything on my way to my room.

as in something falling on your head !
or the elevator getting stuck and your inside for hours (not good if your claustrophobic)
or the cables snap(think Tower of Terror LOL LOL)

ok ,ok I know an elevator has many safety features so most likely that won’t happen ………….…but the sounds you hear when your in the elevator can almost give you a heart attack.

I just booked one of the remodeled Excalibur rooms for early February...now I'm thinking I might have made a mistake!  Hope it won't deter potential visitors.
