they might choose to say they cannot attend to show their support of such events and their friends who host them.  And, the other reason may to plaster all over the board, especially when a link is involved to their own website.  Duofold purpose.  

Perhaps to draw attention to yourself?  I am at ALL the parties and you know that.  It saved me from having to contact more than 5 people to tell them I wasn't coming which made it ultimately easier.

That makes it pretty hard to get you clear all at once. But let's take a look at this;

Not sure why you would make that sort of statement rather than a question. I seriously doubt that any of them feel they are 'lowering' themselves in 'guy’s minds', unless it is your mind.

I think sometimes it is much easier to respond than to a post like this than to contact all their other friends to say they cannot make it. I am pretty sure the organizer, Tasha, it taking note. You should also note that of the 6 or 7 ladies replying here did not leave a link in their post to advertise themselves. Even if they did, it is allowed.

The only odd thing if there is one is that often these sorts of threads turn into a long series of post, which is why the M & G board was created. Tasha included the link correctly to draw attention to her post on the M & G board.
