Some people are cool with this. Most aren't. I ask first, though.

Texting can be helpful because it doesn't demand the lady answer the phone NOW NOW NOW- and some don't prefer long phone conversations. If you can sort out details texting, I can see why it's effective.

preferred that as a means of communication and I just moved on.

Relying on text messages and the pain it is for configuring some cohesive with big fingers is not worth the effort. Would rather deal with providing all the needed info on the email to do screening, show my desire to meet and compliance with all her safety needs and be done with it. Response is always quicker, more organized and smoother.

Embarrassed to admit it, but...

I just finally got the hang of it.  You may remember that I always called as a response to yours.  The bad news is that one lovely lady has become the unfortunate victim of my new knowledge.  oops...

of those who can text.  How do your fingers do all that typing?  LOL

Never even considered doing it to be honest. I can't imagine that providers would even be open to doing this for any clients other than those they know well enough to have in their address book & identify who it is texting them.


I've had some providers that after the appt is set they might text to say hi or inform me they are on their way, running late, etc.. Only in that case would I use text messaging to respond.
