Responding to an alias is usually a bad idea (inciting drama), but I'll give the benefit of the doubt that you're trying to protect the lady's identity - although I don't really understand why.

Your question suggests that you should think about quitting the hobby. Romance and marriage are not a consideration, unless you're into fantasy, and then you better understand that it's fantasy.
