Joyful House Chinese restaurant.  It's on Spring Mountain Rd. (south side of street), between Arville and Decatur.

Looking for advice. I'm in Vegas next month and would like to have dinner at one of the asian restaurants up on Spring Mt Road. I've driven by a bunch of times but there's so many I can't make up my mind. Looking for authentic asian food not P. F. Chang. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for any help.

so it might not help you, but Fin in The Mirage is excellent.

Noodle Asia in the Venetian I know you mentioned the restaurants on spring mountain but noodle asia is very good! There are many asian restaurants on spring mountain I have not eaten at any except for Sam Woo's BBQ I did not care for too much.Good luck now you made me have a taste for asian food thanks a lot.lol!

In my opinion there are some OK ones, so far the best value I found was at the Woo Che... It is on Spring Mountain and Decatur blvd. It is a Korean BBQ all you can eat buffet and I think it is $16 per person or something like that.
On the strip, the following ones are great:
- Wazuzu at the Encore (reasonably priced, main dish is around $15-25) and it has Japanese, Korean, Thai, Chinese and all kinds of mixes :)
- Shibuya (try the Teppanyaki dinner for high-end experience).

Best of luck to you! ;)

I like to ask Chinese and other Asian dealers about Asian restaurants -- the ones that they go to. Cathay House on Spring Mountain is supposed to have the best authentic Hong Kong style cuisine and Dim Sum in town. I did get a chance to visit there on my last trip. I'll try it next month when I'm in Vegas.

Thank you all for your advice !!!!  Very helpful  I'll try a few places.

I love Pho Kim Long for Pho and Viet food.  (Spring Mountain and Wynn area)

Cathay House is really good for Dim Sum although I haven't been in a while. (Spring Mountain and Lindell)

Korean Garden or Dae Jang Keum for KBBQ.  Both are pretty amazing although if I had to chose I'd say Korean Garden. (DJK is next to Pho Kim Long on Spring Mountain and Wynn.  Korean Garden is Spring Mountain and Arville.)

For Thai, no one is messing with Ping Pong on Sunset just past McLeod Dr.  Their food is very authentic, hot waitresses, and amazing flavors.  If you go, make sure you get the deep fried garlic lobster tail.  Sounds odd but WOW!!

Amlee is pretty amazing as well and is more Chinese.  In Henderson on Sunset near Annie Oakley.

Those are some of my favorites.  Hope that helps :)

All good suggestions. Also, don't forget Sam Woo in Chinatown Plaza. Their duck and black bean crab are wonderful!

Lotus of Siam
Raku
Ichiza

Lotus of Siam is in an OK area and doesn't look like much, but it serves the BEST Thai!

My personal favorite is Ichiza... It's a little hole in the wall restaurant that opens until late at night and has amazing, exotic, inique dishes.

If you are craving Vietnamese- I would suggest either pho so 1 or pho Saigon 8. Both on spring mt.
Personally, what makes a good bowl of pho is the broth and I find many Vietnamese restaurants on spring mt lack flavor in their broth, except for those two places.
Trust me- I know a thing or two about good, authentic Vietnamese food(I'm Vietnamese).

I know crawfish is by no means Asian food. But they have both hot n juicy and boiling crab on sprint mt as well. It is definitely something you must try. Be prepared to have the smell of garlic permeated your skin, hair, and clothing if you do decide to eat there.

Below is a link to a great review site. I have used it countess times to discover new, amazing restaurants and other buisnesses.

Happy dining!

*Sorry about the typos. My stupid iPad and that darn auto-correct!
