Well. It had to happen at some point. She canceled with me 10mins after we were supposed to meet. This is a wonderful reputable girl I've seen before.
It happens. I get it. I just wish she'd let me know much earlier in the evening.

That is terrible to hear, but we've all been there on both sides of the street when something unexpected happens! That's why I offer a reverse cancelation fee, where if I have something come up I credit my date with 25% of the date fee. It's the least I can do when you've planned, researched, and waited in anticipation of reconnecting with a trusted companion. Don't end the friendship unless you feel really slighted, and always keep a few girls on standby (ie send an email that you're coming to town and see if they are free, send your screening info, and let them know you'll reach out once in town if you're ready to book). Hope your next date has a happier ending...
