I thought I was getting a good deal on a room at the MGM Grand tonight and tomorrow but I just checked in and the "West wing" is a dump. I was going to invite a young lady over, but I'd be embarrassed to have anyone else come over. I much prefer Excalibur!
rooms are not that bad granted the bathroom is very small I would take that over the Excalibur. As long as the room is clean is the main thing no need to be embarrassed have fun!
I've stayed at the MGM many times and I'd never seen one of those west wing rooms until last night. I was somewhat surprised by the overall presentation compared to the other rooms, but it really was not bad. It was definitely clean and the bed was comfy, I wouldn't worry at all about entertaining there.
Story about Excalibur- a couple I saw stayed there and when they got to their room they found a pair of used panties that the previous guest had forgotten. They insisted on a room change but did not have a lot of confidence in the overall cleanliness of the hotel.
Make lemonade....Here's what you do...Buy some candles, ice a bottle of champagne, dim the light and pipe in some soft music. Soon that dump you're in will feel like a suite with a view at the Wynn.
about rooms which aren't yours? In my opinion it's the hotel owner/ management who needs to be embarrassed! It's not your fault they don't keep up to dating it... if it's a dirty room just go to the front tell them and change to another room....
