What is your stance on this?

I'm a long time lurker of TER and have at times been VIP, but just created this account to post this subject. I hobby in Vegas a few times a year, so I have been aware of the scene here for about 3 years. (as far as following TER message boards and using P411) I typically respect many of the long time posters opinions on here and thought I might get your thoughts on this.

I've noticed a pattern that might imply that multiple providers who market themselves as independent might, "MIGHT" be something else. I don't know if this means a pimp, management, or something else entirely. I've noticed it though, and it has happened once before. I met with a well-known provider last year, whom I had a long back and forth over email leading up to our date, and she seemed unaware of things we had discussed. This to me, meant she wasn't who I had been emailing with, and that was disturbing. All that being said; I'm reluctant to just drop this info out in the open and be completely wrong and in doing so, cause unwanted problems.

This bothers me for some reason, I suppose because of the thought of a pimp. Though I do realize the world I'm playing in here. I guess my question to you is. Is this a big deal? Am I worrying for no reason? Should I just keep it to myself? Hell, this may be common knowledge and no one cares.

What are your opinions?

You bring up some interesting points here. You just need to be cautious and try and use your best judgement. Do some research and read the reviews. Maybe even reach out to others on the here if something seems fishy or out of the ordinary to you. This business as you know can have some strange wrinkles to it so you always need to watch your step and be careful about how much of your own information you are willing to release.

But if I find out that there's a pimp, agency or management associated with that person, I won't see her again or I will cancel any appointments pending. Like I mentioned before. I feel better if I know that what I'm dishing out is for her and her only. But it's hard to tell sometimes....
And yes, I to have met a few ladies that passed themselves as INDIE's but when we meet, they have no ideal of my likes that I detailed in our emailings.
I guess it that old adage..”Don't hate the player, hate the game”........

I wouldn't see anyone if I knew they had a pimp.  I think the girl doing the work should get the money.  I work for a large consulting company and ....hey wait a second.  Are they making money off me?  OMG I can't believe I have a pimp.

An agency is a different thing altogether.

If you have the experience and background you describe, I doubt if you saw a pimped girl. It's sounds more likely that you've  been communicating with an scheduler, and or the girl just breezed through you emails, got the important information, when where, and how long, and forgot everything else.

I've dated with girls, that I met on my next visit at a party, who did not remember me or anything about me. It may be hard to believe, but we think about them a lot more than they think about us.

You could be right about the scheduler. It would make sense. Though, I'm not too happy to have a scheduler taking my emails and responding to me, and the person I'm meeting having no idea about our conversation. I'm not talking about sending an email with the standard info needed for a date. I'm talking about a weeks worth of correspondence with flirty banter, and then being able to tell they have no clue what your talking about when you finally meet

whether the communication you think you are having with the provider turns out to be a pimp or a scheduler.  Either way it is like false advertising and if I found out I would not see her.

... what are describing in my opinion is wrong because it creates a "relationship" between the hobbyist and the "provider" where certain things are discussed and the provider is not aware of it. In my years as an assistant, I would never do that because of that very reason. One, it's technically false advertising and dishonest and misleading and two, when you finally meet the provider, she has no clue what you are even talking about.

I always introduce myself as "Toni, so and so's personal assistant" ... that is the way it should be. Sometimes, gentlemen have actually declined to meet with the ladies because they did not like dealing with an assistant. That was their choice. We would rather honor his choice than to be dishonest and carry out a charade/facade.

If one of the ladies I assistant cannot post her ads, I will post her ads for her, but that is different. I am merely posting an ad or responding to a PM saying "Please email my assistant with your request". Never, should it be acceptable for an assistant to pretend they are the provider. That's just wrong and you have every right to be upset. I would think that the provider should be the most upset in this situation. If I had an assistant pretending to be me, God only knows what they were saying or promising, or who knows what!

It is an interesting topic, I am sure this has been going on for years and will probably continue to go on for years. Some hobbyists would be outraged, others probably would care less. It is what it is...

Just my opinion...

If you're dealing directly with a provider. Some recent correspondence I've had with a few have pretty much divulged I wasdealing with someone who answers ttheir emails, but it is what it is. Would I prefer to deal with the provider herself? Sure, but I realize it's all part of the game.

I will add one more thing. One of the things that I noticed was that all of these ladies (5-6) would sign onto P411 at the same time (within a minute of each other). Not always the case, but enough that I noticed it. I guess this points to a scheduler taking care of all their profiles. I don't know.

Can you PM who you're talking about?
