The "M" Resort is relatively new and offering some decent deals.  Yea, it's not on the strip.  Anyone have any first hand knowledge?

But to recap, it's a beautiful property. Nice and new. Good food, good gaming, great pool. The buffet is all the rave, however I thought it was over rated. And although I had a comp & line pass, I could tell that the wait was hours long. In fact, there's a line just to get a ticket to wait in line. The italian & steak restaurants both look good and often have great promos ($20.00 dinner for two). One thing to keep in mind though, there is a $25.00 Resort Fee per night stay (I think that may be the highest in town). Escort-wise, security seems light. And, for reasons I can't explain, at night they always seem to have a nice, refreshing breeze going on.

I've stayed there.  The rooms are nice and brand spankin new!

I love the pool.  I didn't venture into 'Daydream', the adult pool, merely because the DJ was playing techno.  I much preferred the classic rock etc at a regular volume at the regular pool.  Besides the fact, I didn't wear makeup and stilettos and a maxi dress to the pool!  LOL

Terzetto's was great for dinner.  I brought a couple fave bottles of wine and paid the cork fee, which was a nice option.

The Hostile Grape was fun for some wine tasting etc. after my bottles were demolished. :)

I highly recommend it, though I enjoy locals casinos.  I like to get out of the hustle and bustle of tourists on the strip sometimes.  :)

And, honestly, it's not that far from the strip!

I stayed there last weekend and everything was very good but it is too isolated ..I mean there is nothing around and unless you have own transportation you are forced to stay there all the times.. I will not stay there again due to the location.

It's a great local casino and the rooms are quite nice.  Ravello Lounge is a great lounge; you can hear some great music there, and can dance if you want to.  If you are a beer drinker, you'll definatly enjoy the 32 degree draft lounge; which has 96 beers on tap.  The rooms are really quite different than most of the strip rooms, it's modersnized, and has a pretty nice size tub.

The M is about 20 min from the strip, but it is nearby the South Point, and the Silverton.  Those are pretty nice hotels as well, and they have great deals on the tables.  For more information just pm me.

I like Red Rock, it is still in good shape and it's next to my HOUSE!!! We go to the movies there all of the time. In fact, I ran into one of my old lady friends from the Chicken Ranch there, Marina, see if you can find a picture of her somewhere...

The rooms are nice too. I love hotels altogether, Bellagio is my favorite. It's great to spend days with one of my favorite guys and live like rockstars!!

I hope this recession passes. I hear a lot of talk about figures on this or that, but I don't see it. It seems like business as usual to me.

I did notice the resturant was empty lat night though. That sux, people need to go out and eat and keep things happy.

love Heather

Las Vegas Sun did a writeup today:
http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2009/jul/20/m-resorts-trial-fire/

and there's a blog on LVA that talks a bit about the M:
http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/blogs/dmckee/index.cfm/2009/7/20/Case-Bets-M-Resort-bad-debt

with the gambling getting tighter there (loss of full pay video poker, worsening blackjack) the forums that cater to those crowds are bitchin' and moanin'.  Maybe they'll find more fun in a room with a provider.

like Red Rock not to mention the casino .... No security, the main pool is very nice .. the small pool is NOT topless yet ... Great view of the entire valley from the 16th floor bar... they just changed their rules on 21 they no longer stand on soft 17. The buffet and steakhouse are excellent.  The spa is nice the workout equipment is new but very little varity .. the deli shop as good food but no roastbeef. Very cool window view of the bathroom with a full view of the tub .......lol...

that should get you started....
