I'm planning on returning to Vegas in late August and was wondering about both properties. I'm not necessarily seeing anyone, just want to hear from the community here about which property is better to stay at re:food decency & price, clean decent rooms, safety issues, security deposits on rooms, employee attitudes, price of rooms (its about the same for both on hotels.com). Ive searched on here and on other search functions like trip advisor and yelp but wanted to get an updated idea on both properties from the community on here.  Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the one that is located on the same street as LVH.
I have been there once it was a fairly new property at the time I think it is has been there for a few years now.The rooms were okay they look like they were going for a more modern feel so the rooms weren't outdated. The room I was in small but nice.

LVH while being renamed it seems that the rooms have not been remodeled in my opinion.Everything still looks the same. You will probably have better food selection/restaurant choices if you stay at LVH since the only thing around the Springhill Suites is Rivera hotel or somewhere you would have to walk or catch a cab to grab something.
Both have decent clean rooms sorry I don't have info on deposits or employee attitudes.
Should not have any issues with safety with either hotel in my opinion.
Enjoy vegas:)

The LVH is cool. Food is close for a quick bite. The hotel is older.

Can go wrong with the Springhill suites. I like the amenties of home. Like a stove.

LVH was just sold and will probably be moved into timeshares.

While it is still functioning as a casino, Hotel - I would opt there. It is closer to the monorail, has restaurants (probably room service - in case a date goes long)....just more options in Full service hotel.

Springhill Suites are nice, I think it is right opposite the LVH.

If you do not care about services - SHS will probably have nicer rooms and quieter atmosphere.

LVH: Don't upgrade to suites with the balconies....ROACHES!! Big...fat...roaches. I had to leave....I was so disgusted. I like the Trump for around $100/night!

Hi Robbin,
Aww I miss talking to you, its been way too long hasnt it. Thank you for the nice words. I ultimately decided to stay at LVH as Springhill couldnt give me a definitive answer about the security deposit (they sad its less if youre a local and/or here for business reasons - ranged from $50-$250) not to mention I have prior timed commitments at the LVH itself during my stay. Plus I'd love to see what the new owners have done w/it since buying and renaming it.
BTW, I'd love to finally meet you for a drink or 2 if you'll be in vegas then on August 23. If not, we'll catch up another time.
