will be staying at the luxor in July. In opinions on this hotel. are there escorts in the lounges and casino at night? is security tight?

Security re the ladies is fairly easy to deal with at Luxor.  There is none, except that every once in a blue moon hey chase the gals from the bars if there's been a disturbance of some sort.  So the gals behave themselves.

Usually 6-10 gals at the bar in front of RA, the Luxor disco, from around 9:30 onwards.  Later on, after 2AM or so, you may find some at Nefertiti's Lounge by the lobby.  These late night denizens, IMHO, are of a lower quality than the earlier ones at RA.

The gals ask for lots of money, and you can negotiate.  I've actually described what an Internet GFE is to one gal, and she provided that great service for under $$$.  But usually you'll find better service from the numerous well-reviewed independents listed her on TER.  If you're not a VIP member, the investment would pay you back manyfold before your trip.

Have fun.  I personally think Luxor is a great hotel.

One thing to add on Luxor - the pyramid itself has guards stationed at the elevators but the rooms outside the pyramid do not.  This is not an impediment to most ladies I'd assume but just so you know.
