Hi everyone,

Ok, a question to providors. I am supposed to be seeing Laurel of Orange County tomorrow. Shes one of my favorites and havent seen her since January. Don't ask me why, Im still kicking myself:). Anyway, I may not be able to see her due to certain cricumstances but I have already given her a deposit. I emailed her, told her my situation but also told her to please keep that deposit and use it towards credit for next time if I don't see her. I feel really bad. I still may get to see her tomorrow but won't know anything more until later this afternon. Did I do the right thing? How would you handle something like this if a client has to cancel the last minute? I feel rotten.

I don't think you should feel rotten at all.  You gave her plenty of time to find another date, and even if she decides to sit at home all night atleast she got a deposit.  Not all men are that nice! :)  She should feel very special!!!  I know in some of my past experiences some of my dates never even called to cancel and I was left waiting.  So you did the right thing!!!

Thank you Tori......I only feel rotten because I really do care for Laurel, I don't want to have to cancel on her. She's an incredible lady with a lot of heart. Very caring and warm and giving. Not all providors are that way either. Don't I know) LOLOLOL. But, the ones who are make up for the ones that aren't. I treat people the way the treat me, I have all the respect in the world for Laurel. I promised I wouldn't let her down but in some ways I still feel like I did But, today is not over yet, I stil will probably get to see her tomorrow.

Thanks Tori.

1) That's what the deposit is for.

2) She's one of the nicest ladies in the business, and chances are she'll understand. Especially since you're trying to repeat with her.

3) 24h notice is acceptable in virtually all businesses, particularly if it involves rescheduling, not out and out cancelling.

The search I did found Laurel from Whispers; is she the one?

No,  thats not the right Laurel. Well, I didnt actually follow the link. Jut go to TER under Orange County, and look up lucious Laurel. Luscious doesn't even describe her. Shes incredible.

For the compliment and for explaining my deposit policy pretty well. I consider the circumstances in each case, but that is my general policy. I usually allow someone to reschedule once, applying the deposit to the new meeting.
