Hello Everyone,

I am very excited to be traveling to Vegas this week for my very first Vegas adventure.  I'm not a gambling woman, so mostly I want to see great shows, enjoy fine dining and meet a sexy gentleman or two for some vacation S*X. :)

I have a few questions:
1.  What are the best shows in town this week? (Feb 26th through March 2nd)
2.  What other activities in Vegas should not be missed.
3.  I would enjoy a few appointments (for fun and in order to pay for the trip), but this is mostly a vacation for me.  Any suggestions on how to get the best rates on the best shows and other activities?

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and suggestions.

Passionate Kisses,
Sarah Nicole

#1. No idea :)

#2. Lots, but it depends on what you like.

#3. The best rates for shows & most activities in town are reserved for those who gamble heavily.  If that doesn't fit your plans, the second best rates are often set aside for locals.  That typically requires an id card (license, etc) with a Nevada address.  Perhaps someone would go with you and use their id when it's time to pay.

While having an 'O' is always a plus, seeing the show 'O' by Cirque will blow you away.  Sit as close as you can if you get a ticket.  It's the best.

the Blue Men show at the Venetian.  It's just a super extravaganza.  Don't sit in the first three rows.

Is my favorite show I have seen thus far since moving to Vegas. I rank it right up there with a few of the Cirque shows. *smile*

Saw Jersey Boys at the Palazzo last summer and enjoyed the story line and music very much. If you like the music of that era it is a must!

Try Vegas.com.  they have info, on all of the shows.
My fav is Mystire, at TI.  Also, 'O', at Bellagio.

Thank you for the suggestion.  And, thank you for the heads up on the first 3 rows. :)  Does that mean that I could get something on me if I sat there?

If you're looking for discounts to Las Vegas shows, try Goldstar.com .  (I'm not affiliated with them - just a suggestion.)  You can pre-buy and pick up at the box office, usually at a great discount.  Not as good as a comp, and not always the top shows, but for a visitor it is a bit of a bargain.

Have fun.

Hey Nicole,

You have just been given the awesome attractions that will cost you money, here is one that is equally as awesome and will not cost you a dime.

The Pallazzo hotel lower level at the waterfall hosts daily free performances of " The Fountain " which is part of the daily " Living Garden " performances.

Three female statues come to life using the waterfall as a backdrop for their flowing dance moves accompanied by inspirational music.

Have a great time !!!

The NASCAR races are in town this weekend.  Both the Sams Town 300 (Nationwide Series race) on Saturday and the Shelby 400 (Sprint Cup race) on Sunday.

Kenny Wayne Sheppard is at the Orleans and Emerson Drive is at the South Point.  (Country music acts to go along with a NASCAR theme.)

Wayne Newton (Mr. Las Vegas) is at the MGM Grand.  (Does anyone else know that the official street address for McCarran Airport is 5757 Wayne Newton Dr?)

Cher is at the Coliseum at Caesar's Palace.

Ron White (best known for being part of the Blue Collar Comedy tour) is at the Mirage.

On Saturday Feb. 28 only, Big Head Todd & the Monsters will be at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay.  (They had a big hit with "Bittersweet" back in the early '90's.)

This message has been brought to you by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.  What happens in Vegas will be posted on the TER Las Vegas discussion board two days later!

Lots of great shows here, and tix shouldn't be too much of a problem. I would suggest Zumanity at NYNY. It is a tremendously sexy show. If you can get a couch seat, thats great. Some fun things that aren't too expensive are the Dueling Pianos shows, at either NYNY, or Harrahs. Both  will get you singing. Usually a five or ten dollar cover charge for those two on the weekend. If you want some fun things to do, check out vegas dot com for other things. Also, it's Nascar weekend here, so there will be a convert at Sams Town, with Little Big Town. (though Sams Town is out on Boulder Highway, and isn't too close to the strip.) Fine dining is all around the strip, and you can get anything you liket to eat just about anywhere. My faves are Mesa Grill, in Caesars, stripsteak, in Mandalay Bay, Daniel Bouloud's restaurant in Wynn, Mon Ami Gabi, in Paris. Hope this helps, and have a great time while your here.

B.

A very uplifting experience!!  LOL  FYI, that's at the top of the Stratosphere.  I know, it may not sound "sexy"....but other than the more "personal thrill rides", well..knowwhatimean?
