Even worse are those using business-related social media such as LinkedIn for "connecting" with providers. Nothing like impressing future employers reviewing your LinkedIn profile and finding that you have a lot of vendors in the services sector of the economy...

I will use LinkedIn as a screening tool.
However I have created a completely neutral profile in a different location and I do not link with potential clients, I simply view their profiles.
