how do you get your play money to/in Vegas?

My husband and I will be in Vegas soon and already have a few dates set up (yes, we're both in the hobby:) and our date bill is already getting quite large.  Our question is what is the best way to get the money for our dates in Vegas?

Do we carry all that cash from airport to hotel room until in the safe? (money belt?)
Do we wait till in Vegas and use ATM machines (with fees?)?
Do we take a taxi to a branch bank and ride back with all the cash?
Do we get the money from the casino cage, if so how?
Do we take traveler's checks to there and cash them in Vegas (fees too?)?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. In the past we've always hobbied at home so not an issue ;).

I generally just carry cash in my backpack.

This is what I do:

Tell the bank a week in advance of your withdraw request, that way you can get all $100

Divide them in envelopes and seal them.  I carry a camera pouch on my belt that the cash fits in.  You can hold the money when you are scanned at the airport, otherwise it's in the pouch on my belt.

Open an account at a bank with branches in Vegas.  Bank of America has branches in Vegas and my home town.  Plus they have a good ATM card.  It has you picture on it and you can deposit money and checks with and envelope or using slips. The machine counts the bills.

I use the bank, since my home bank has several locations in Vegas.  I always have a rental car when I'm in town, so getting to and from the bank is no problem.

Carrying cash from home is always an option, if you wish to avoid ATM fees.  That's what I usually do when I'm hobbling in a city where my bank doesn't have branches.

I've never used the casino cage for obtaining cash, so I can't help you with that.  Perhaps someone will ring in with more info.

I use traveler's checks which I can get for a very small fee from my bank. The day of my date, I cash them at the casino cage with no hassle and put the money in my I room safe until my date. Very easy and the safest way I can think of to transport large amounts of cash. I do the same thing for my gambling funds, so no suspicion raised at home.

Go the the cage or bank get some cash out and spend it on your lady.
C'mon people, this ain't rocket science.

You can wire money into a casino and they will have it waiting for you. I had the casino talk to my branch manager, then wired in the money. I kept it under the 10k so no government BS, just in case. They gave it to me in chips. I cash the chips in after playing a bit to use for everything else. Best bet is to talk to a casino host.

ATM fees are outrageous in Vegas, travelers checks are just as cumbersome as cash.  For me that only leaves one way. If you're a high roller you can do all your cash transactions through the casino.  The easiest way is in the high slot area.

Just carry the cash with you.  Hold it during airport screening and don't advertise you have a wad.  Think about it, how many times have you been robbed between the airport and your room?  People are always afraid carrying cash makes them a target but walk around with a watch worth 5k and up without thinking about it.

I'll carry 5K or so in my pocket.  More than that and I'll put it in my backpack.  More than than and I'm using casino credit for which I'll write a check (if I don't win) at the end of the trip.
