Just an observation!

... sorry, I just had to get that off my chest. I often read from people who live in Vegas or Phoenix that they live on the West Coast. The West Coast states are Washington, Oregon and California.  Nevada & Arizona are in the Southwest US or more generally, 'Out West'.

OK, mini rant over now, I feel much better!  :D  If you want to keep referring to yourself as living on the West Coast when you really don't, that's fine with me. Won't hold it against you...I'm getting over this with weekly treatments from my therapist.  :D

so how do you feel about Ohio Indiana and Illinois being the "Midwest"   and Texas being the "Southwest" ?
Being an Arizona native I've always scratched my head over some of these geography offenses.

Funny post.  I reside in CALIFORNIA, but always believed that ARIZONA is the wild wild west because I can have my gun at all times.  lol I was born in AZ & never understood how people could say that was the westcoast when you feel no coastal breeze at all.. Smile 4  me!

... my head. I have often seen Texas listed as being part of the South but I don't think of it that way. But Texas was part of the Confederacy so maybe that's why. Some regional boundaries are ambiguous but the West Coast is not, IMO.

...Nevada will be on the West Coast when the Big One hits and California falls into the ocean.

But if they did, I agree with you.

Wait, I think Tahoe is west of LA. Does that count?

If you said it was part of "the south".  I've never lived there myself, but my experience with Texans is that they don't think of it as "part of" anything. It's just Texas. I actually knew a woman who thought she needed her passport to travel from TX to CA, and there was no convincing her otherwise.

.......... Arizona will be beach front property. That would then make it west coast.
