I can't say too much due to LE involvement.  Let me just say that if approached on the casino floor and you are very happy with the concept, then really bad trouble might very well come your way.  I was ripped off of all cash (xxxxs), my laptop stolen, and a very tense situation followed with hotel and LV LE.  I was sternly lectured by LE (could have been much worse) but more importantly, told that several men had been severely beaten, hospitalized and two killed in similar situations, and I was lucky to survive. A razor knife was found.  One of two perps in my case was caught and I pressed charges, hoping that no one else will be hurt.  So far so good.  My advice, do not take ANY chances in LV, despite how great your dinner was, how much money you made at the table, or how great you feel.

I had to go to the emergency room (after flying to a different city) two days later -- a severe panic attack; more have followed.

Don't risk it man, please.

It's like playing the slot machines here.  Every once in a great while, you'll hit the jackpot but most of the time, you lose, and as this case illustrates, lose badly.

While it really doesn't help a lot, those occasions where there's security at the guest elevators can help since they might recall the bar girl you took up to your room.

As other have pointed out, it goes both ways (with the tragic murder of a bar girl at the Mandalay Bay about 2 years ago if memory serves).

For some, the risks, the thrill of the chase, will always get them to try.  In some ways, a lot of guys are adrenaline junkies.  Just make sure you have a healthy sense of paranoia.

i remember a couple of years ago i ran into a hottie at a casino bar who kept flashing her beautiful blue eyes at me.  she came over and sat on my lap and i bought her a drink.  she said let's go up to your room.  well, i didn't plan on taking her to my room but decided to stroll around the casino floor with her to feel her out.  she put her hands all over me especially my ass.  anyways i need to go to the men's room so she said she would wait for me.  while i was in the men's room i reached for my wallet in my backpocket and it was gone.  i ran out to locate the girl and she was gone too.  needless to say i lost XXX dollars and had to replace my credit cards, driver's license, etc.  and she was such a pro i swear i didn't even feel her take my wallet and now i always keep my wallet in my front pocket.

I want to point out that I was mindless and completely impulsive, living in the moment (with several drinks to my credit), and completely smitten by two gorgeous women.  My id ruled the day.

My advice is to set something up using TER, use your good sense BEFORE you go down to the casino/bar.  That way you'll know you have something to look forward to.  I made every mistake, without knowing it until later, and paid dearly - nearly completely - for it.  

I'm no adrenaline junkie.  If you are, I suggest parachuting.  The odds are better.

I know someone that was arrested for DUI (beat it as it was perscription meds) and spent the night in CCDC at the same time LE did a big bust (sting) at the Mandalay Bay. LE picked these girls up at the bar and then went up to the sting suite. The stories these girls had about giving guys knock out drops, stealing CC and ATM cards, laptops and anything else they could get hold of. Several girls said they were HIV+ and faced long jail time.
 

With no problem. Just don't do anything stupid. Make them set the price, don't let them out of your sight and don't drink anything around them. Most bars girls are honest and I;ve had some great ones... Jasmine, Iceis... Anisa...the list goes on.

..and 98% don't have your understanding that it (picking up bargirls) is a science.

The independent scene here is very strong, very reasonably priced, with something for everyone. There are very few sure bets in Vegas; but this is one of them.
