Signature at MGM Grand

Is this a decent play to stay at meet? Coming in February and looking at hotel options.

The Signature is a lovely non-casino property. If valet parking is available at The Signature, it's awesome. If it isn't and the provider must park at the MGM valet, it is a VERY long walk (I'm talking a marathon) through the casino...but, I'm sure you're worth the hike. ;)

Two other properties, I love, where you don't have to walk thru a casino are...the Delano Las Vegas, and the Monte Carlo.

Wherever you stay and whomever you select to rendezvous with, I hope you have an incredible time in Las Vegas!

Hello Robin I'm in Vegas now and happen to be staying at the signature. My Secretary scheduled it for me. Speaking of my Secretary you look a lot like her I'd love to see you

...a while since I've stayed there but I used to stay there often from 2009-2012. Here is what I recall.

The Signature has valet parking only, no self parking unless you park at the MGM Grand lot. To get into the Signature parking, you must provide your tower info to a gate attendant when entering or they will not let you in.

If walking from the MGM Grand, the walk from the MGM Grand casino to the Signature can be long, 8-10 minutes. A Signature keycard is required to enter the Signature.

Once at the Signature, the hotel itself does not have a casino or much in food options aside from a Starbucks and a bar so walking back to the MGM Grand is your only option. The Signature consists of three towers, 1, 2, & 3 that are laid out with Tower 3 closest to the MGM Grand and Tower closest to the street entrance on Harmon.

One bedroom suites are nice and have kitchens and balcony access. Junior suite save kitchenettes and no balcony. I can't recall if the elevators required keycards.

It's a loooong walk through MGM to the Signature from self parking and only registered hotel guests can use the valet for Signature.  Sometimes after a certain hour you need a room key to get access the Signature hallway if coming from MGM.  It's usually not a problem as people are always coming and going but if it's a late hour it can pose a challenge.  Best bet (if possible) would be meet your lady in MGM or the entrance to Signature and walk back together.

so many time, both myself and many other i know have to fight just to get past the little man in the box at the gate. They usually ask so many questions. Even if you call up and the guest says that yes they are expecting you, they often wont let you park at the hotel even if the guest does not have a car, they will tell you to park at the MGM Grand self park and walk over which is a 15 to 20 min walk pending on what type of shoes us girls a wearing...i always ask clients not to stay there when seeing providers.

As others have said that MGM Signature is a far walk from MGM Parking Garage and Valet.
Before the hotels started charging for Valet I never had an issue with parking at the Signature.
I would just tell security I am picking someone up to take them to the airport.Once security lets me drive through the gate slide $10 or $20 to the  valet at whatever tower I was going to and tell them to keep my car upfront.I never had an issue money talks!
But since there is now a charge for Valet and self-parking I don't know if that trick will work anymore.
I used to park always at the Signature the walk from MGM Valet is way too far.
IMO....the rooms are nice some have balconies and kitchen/dining area. But now I am sure it is  a big hassle to park there now after the parking fees have been implemented.
I would pick somewhere else to stay or stay at the MGM Grand.
Have fun!

There are plenty of better places to stay

as others have mentioned its a hell of a walk (in one particular pair of super high shoes it took me almost 45 minutes from my car to the room)
card needed to get across, security are very nasty and try to block providers.on't think the suites are all that great -  very outdated by strip standards

Just not worth i

i have been there once, i think its a decent place but it is hard to access & its more "family friendly"

think of a hight level extended stay (that was my opinion, it has a full kitchenette in the room)

but i must say once again HARD TO FIND & ACESS lol its a little hidden.
