Ok I would like to hear what some of the "veterans" on this board thing of my observation. I've been hobbying a LONG time and still see several girls in town (I don't write reviews much anymore) and even have an ex-provider sugar baby for the last year so I think I have a pretty good insight into the biz (I've "dated" lots of providers, porn stars and even a few center folds - and no I'm not bragging its cost a lot of $ just laying the foundation here to establish a bit of credibility lol).  

Anyway, is it just me or does it seem that there has been a huge spike in the last few years not just in the quantity of providers but in the quality as well? I know when I moved to Vegas 10 years ago and was on the boards I maybe had 10 girls saved in my favorites that were all rated 9 or above. Now I have 7-8 pages of girls and couldn't find the time to see them all if I wanted to! I know several girls I see that have been around a few years have expressed to me that the field is kinda crowded now and it's tougher to get biz because of the competition.  

It also seems to me that the normal laws of economics are at work here - as the number of girls has increased the price seems to have dropped.  Now I don't mean the overall cost but what u can get for the same money has gotten way better.  Girls that 10 years ago would have easily gotten $1000 or more are now $500. Hell, there are even a plethora of porn stars to be had for under $1000 (and that's after the ridiculous agency fee).   Not only that but the service has gotten WAY better.  I mean 10-15 years ago finding a girl to do BBBJTCCIM was nearly impossible. Now it seems most girls are willing to do about anything and what used to be consider a PSE is basically standard fare these days.  I wonder if it's generational, these younger girls really seem to have no inhibitions and I wonder if it's a societal thing - growing up watching porn at a young age and definitely learning about there sexuality at a much younger age than I was a young man (25 years ago).

Anyway, I'm nitrated to see if anyone else has had a similar idea or if it's in my head lol.

There's been a lot of whining about prices going up in the last couple of years in places such as LA, Vegas and NYC. But on the other side of the coin I have to agree with you that P4P looks a hell of a lot better now than in the bad old days.  I too am amazed at the number of gorgeous and sexy women willing to engage in spirited debauchery with old farts such as your humble correspondent.   And so many of these desirable ladies are enthusiastic fans of CIM, greek and my favorite-- duos (moment of quiet reflection and appreciation here).  We old timers can remember the choices back in the day were that one hot provider who treated you like a lowly commoner come to plead at court, an agency that might send you anyone from the plain jane GND (who may not actually put out once she shows up) to the Roseanne Barr lookalike (complete with shitty attitude), and the back pages of the local alt paper (shudder) where all manner of dangers and grotesqueries awaited.  

As for the causes I will leave that to the modern day Masters & Johnsons but I do believe the women in P4P today seem much more genuinely into sex in all its varieties and seem much more comfortable with their sexuality.  Thank the maker for change.

The economy is still a work in progress, but I believe we in the hobby now are smarter.  I mean come on now, who does not look for the best deal? It does not matter if it's a car, clothes, home or investments etc.  

It's fair that a provider picks what fee that is best for there time, then it's also fair we hobbyist do what's best for our pockets too.  

If the provider has to offer more perks, that is what most businesses are doing now a days anyway to keep up. Just be safe about the perks! LOL  

I know one thing, if the provider is really good, she will have no problem getting repeat business.

So the bottom line is everything changes with time, a person just has to  keep up with the changes!

Yes, supply and demand does seem to be in favor of us hobbyists right now.  I retired early from being a professor. Now I have to be selective and watch my budget. Many of you will be in my boat in years ahead. By screening carefully, I have found a few atf's that are in the $200 range, that are as fulfilling to me, and my former providers in the $400+ range. Two, in fact, are absolute nymphomaniacs, and have many regulars. A few providers seem to have an inflated opinion of their worth, and service. A few providers dont realize they are model-material, and that their performance is top level. I have found a few such who are quite young, early 20's, slim, and very accomodating, and at $200 hr, they are under pricing themselves.  They will realize this, and raise their rates, Im sure. With the present economy, I agree that hobbyists now can find value and good performance.

I too recall the bad old days of higher prices, lower and widely variable levels of service, etc.

I think the industry got cleaned out and the playing field leveled a bit with the growth of the Internet and the success of sites like TER.

Information is so readily available now and the depth of information continues to grow. Some of the more seasoned ladies have had to make bigger adjustments than the younger newcomers. But the younger newcomers sometimes do not have the savvy business minds that their older counterparts do. It is a very interesting dynamic for sure.

As for what is offered and the associated pricing, that too varies just as you mention. I have had some really fantastic sessions with ladies from all different price ranges. Services offered were across the board much more than what it used to be......thankfully.

If all this is in your head, then I guess we think alike.....as great minds tend to do.....LOL!!

I was thinking along these same lines a few weeks ago. My biggest dilemma is now deciding who to see because of the sheer volume of drop dead gorgeous women here. Just when I think I may have decided on someone, an ad goes up from another outrageously hot bombshell. Even weeding out the non-gfes doesn't help because the vast majority of ladies are very much into that. Vegas is now candyland for hobbyists. I stuck to my regular there for a while, but simply can't anymore.

There are so many beautiful women to choose from. I am planning my next trip to Vegas and I have so many providers on my list I cannot decide who to meet. Every week I seem to see another gorgeous provider. So many women and only 9 days to play.

I would call it stupidity. Yes the economy affects everyone, but I for one do not see much difference when selecting. A lot of ladies offering who do not know what they are doing and that is not most of our market. Ladies I see has not changed.

I totally agree my friend. Vegas has become a blessing and a curse. I've been hobbying over 10 years now but have only been visiting Vegas for about 4 years. I don't have tons of money to throw around when visiting so I have to be very selective in my choices. IMHO, Vegas has the best providers to choose from in the country and the choices are just endless. It truly is candy land. Getting excited cause I'm due to visit in 3 weeks and have already started booking appointments.  

One observation is the newer hobbyists are less well heeled than the older guys.  Guys that are say under 35 just don't have the job opportunities that the baby boomer gen had.  Good jobs are in fact hard to come by for these men, if at all.  It may be a hobbyiest market for the older crowd but certainly not for this upcoming generation(I lie between, gen x).  The full price compression is yet to come as the older crowd dies off(sorry, death happens) and younger dudes fill in without the savings, income, or wherewithal to toss around $500 at a whim.  New entrants make less, are more conservative with their money, less secure with job prospects/future, etc.  Be ready for years of the same.  Just my 2 copper.

As an aging hobbyist I've been curious about trends too.  Certainly the number and flavors of women has broadened considerably.  
I was surprised to see this article in today's NYT that $150 an hour is the common going rate for prostitution in the 8 mid sized cities they surveyed.  My sense in Vegas is that with rare exception that number $150 represents the high price for non sexual massage and the low price for not very much or not very good sex

Intriguing subject as Ive been seeing more and more women with rates like oh $1200 for two hours..(Im sure worth every penny..just kidding) or $650 per...seriously in this economy? Not just in Vegas but in DC for example(where your money goes) too. A really honest very sweet touring provider told me recently everybody loves to come to DC these days..Not a sure thing but better than many other choices.

..and then, as many have posted here, there are more and more options at comparable or lower rates to those charged ten + years ago.. The number of sex workers in Vegas used to be estimated at 2000 but saw a 6000 figure recently..Who knows but that would sure explain the competition today if true.

The survey sources for the $150 rate are obviously the reason that figure comes up..pretty much SW and BP sounds like and not the options most here are interested in. Hate to think what you might find in Vegas at that rate.

As it is now, we have a bifucated market in the extreme as a few guys will pay $!000+ either cause they can and dont know better or think they are getting something more cause they are paying more. A diminishing clientele number for sure, as some really astute guy pointed out, but still there. The middle market is similiar to the past in rate structure but the big change is on the lower end...more availability and much higher quality if one knows where to look (e.g. K girls @250-300)

Now is this going to continue?..yeah it is..as long as the country has fewer and fewer viable career employment options this is our present and future.

My experience is that the newer/younger ladies are entering the market at the 600/hr rate.  While the established ladies are in the 300-500/hr range.  What I have seen is that the price break for multi hour appointments seems to be diminishing.  I truly enjoy longer, even overnight experiences, and they used to come with a hefty break in the $/hr.  Now I see many ladies not giving a break until after 4 hours and at 4 hours requiring a meal.  I have, in the past, had many engagements that were 8-12 hours for 1800-2k.  Now that rate seems to be about 2400 as a starting point and many at the 32-3500 range (some significantly higher).  I am finding that price range a bit out of my 'comfort" zone, so I am setting several shorter engagments at the 2hr for 700 range than one for an overnight.

I believe that TER is part of a double sided coin as a hobbiest can research more, and see more.  If the "newer" group of ladies can get the 600/hr and not give discounts for multiple hours  MORE POWER TO THEM.  I find that I am having just as much "fun"  with the ladies in the 26-32 range and their prices seem to be more agreeable.  

This is all a YMMV situation.  If I had unlimited funds, I know of 3 ladies right off the top of my head that I would contact ASAP.  But alas, I am obviously not in the demographic that they are marketing too.  It is all about fun and comfort for all involved.  Other than NCNS, or unnecessary drama, I try to keep it all in perspective.  It is a hobby for me, I do this for fun, but I realize that for every one of me, there are probably 4-6 D-bags that double book or lead a lady or two on (i have actually done this by mistake once, and know the wrath).

Yes it does appear that the established ladies offer the best opportunities for longer dates.  They also offer a good "las vegas community experience".  They know all kind of stuff about Vegas, they are fun to talk to, they compete on a friendly basis with the other ladies, and it creates this "club like" experience.  

It may sound weird, but it's like being back in high school and you're working you way through cheer leader squad, except they're bored with the jocks and they are hot for the nerds, --- us.!!

Don't get me wrong, many of the new ladies are really HOT!!!, I met a few and they are all kinds of fun, and the extra $$ for the hour isn't that bad; but the minimal or non existent multi-hour discount is a killer.  Especially if you in town alone and want to take in a show or go dancing.
