sorry but in all my time hobbying, I"ve never been asked for ID and that's the way I like it. I'll give you plenty of references and other non personal screening info to put you at ease. If you don't feel completely comfortable with me as a hobbyists by the time I lightly knock on your incall door, than we really shouldn't be meeting.
For the most part, I'm not showing ID. I don't ask for yours. On occasion, when it was said during screening that it is necessary, I'll consider it only if I REALLY want to see you (a certain PSE asks to see it, and I showed her).
I fall under the category with some of the above posters. I've never had to before since it shouldn't be necessary, but if I really wanted to see somebody and it was a necessity, I would consider it.
and, I have no business visiting with someone if I am concerned about the validity of their screening info....I'm not gonna show mine and I would never ask to see yours!
I think it is just too dangerous to throw your name out there, whether it is on a screening form or driver's license. The Maine thing is a perfect example, and dsclosing real names, etc. voids the purpose of screening services. It is probably possible to show your DL and cover the address, etc., but even at that, disclosing the name presents a security danger. I have been making plans for a future trip, and I have made the decision that anything that discloses my name is a deal breaker. I will disclose the provider info that verifies me - that's it.
