Do some ladies enter this work with the intent of finding a special gentleman?  Is this a common occurrence? I have a reason for asking this.

providers who enter into this business for the sole purposes of making money but also to find that special gent. She meets him and there is no need to advertise anymore she no longer has to work.
Happens quite often.
To the providers who have done this and have lived happily ever after with a former client more power to them!Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't and the provider comes back to work.
There are many providers who have all kinds of reasons for entering this business.

And I hate to say it, but once I found that I satisfied a lot of my little sexual peculiarities with a provider I do not feel as interested in the hobby.  I have had my period of indulgence, but I am not as intrigued as I once was by this.

Sugarbabies are even worse.  I used to belong to that sugardaddyforme site, and all I can say is that it was something to check out.  There are some providers who put up ads on that site.  So I guess they look for someone that they can count on.  It gets old real fast when someone is looking to lean on you financially all of the time, and there is nothing else to it

Let's be realistic, money was their primary motivation to get into this to begin with.  So if they can find someone to provide for them without them having to, why wouldn't they?

Personally, I think that relationships that center on the ability to provide material things aren't real relationships.  Hit a road bump in life that changes your financial status and see if she'll stick around or bail and go back to doing what she was doing.  If she's willing to adjust and put the relationship first, then she's interested in you as a person and not as an ATM.

I met a lady and saw her multiple times and it moved into "something". I won't call it a relationship as it was too short but I didn't have to pay for dates anymore, it turned into more of a Sugar Baby/Daddy situation now that I relook at it. It lasted until the next guy who was either better looking or had more money came along and she showed her true colors and bolted for the door.

Exactly. You may not think you're paying for dates, but the moment the $ stops or slows down they bolt and will look for the next guy to latch onto.  Whether they want to consider themselves providers or not, a sugar baby is just another form.

By the same token, I think there's a lot to be said regarding guys who use the hobby as a way to look for a relationship. If you meet a potential partner in this manner, you may need to ask yourself what your true motivations are. I'm sure some ladies do meet their dream partner through work, but I'd say that's few and far between.

Couldn't agree more with your statement.  This is by no means a dating site.  Could two people find each other in this world?  Let's be realistic anything is possible.  Reading other posts, it does happen.  What is the success rate of that relationship working out in the long haul?  We'll never know because each might have a personal and I hate to say this, selfish motivation.

That a lot of the women on this site have a significant other, and they are not looking.

I'm sure you are right that there are a number of women who do have a significant other.  There is a reason I'm posting this way and making the statements I am.  I got myself tangled in this web.

Now this person's post kind of set off a red flag, the timing is a bit to coincidental with other events that I wont reveal.  Could it be the same person?  Don't know.  But it's not sitting with me well at all

makes me wonder If it is the same person. Not sure how you burn a candle on three or four ends but this lady seems  to be working it well.

Over 75% of the ladies I know here and I have been here a long time have a either male or female SO

I doubt that its the same person you are referencing, but the OPs timing seriously makes me wonder.  Like I said, it was a bit too coincidental with other events.

Trust is a HUGE deal to me and little by little it's being eroded.  I don't judge things by what a person says, but rather by their actions.  Once we cross into no-man's land, then I simply will end things and move on.

I had a ten year marriage. Overall, a good one. We're still friends. You never know when or where cupid will strike.

Your correct, one never knows when or where Cupid will strike.  This wasn't part of my life's game plan when I became single.  Why her I will never understand.  But I wont do is to allow myself to become a game piece.  Like I said earlier, the timing of the OPs post has raised some serious red flags for me.  Not to mention she's done a few things that have added fuel to the fire
