yes. I have friends that I have made not only in this business but my other business also. I would have never met them probably if the opportunity to do business with them never happened. While business came first the relationship turns to friendship as the business continues. Instead of thinking about it as great acting, think about it as great customer service.
Is it possible to be friends with a provider? Or are they solely a business relationship? My provider in LA seems to be my friend, but then again providers are great actresses.

I'm friends with all of the providers for an hour at a time.... Come to think of it, I'm always short $300-$500 usually also.... lol. Just kidding around. Actually, once you become a regular, you do start to build somewhat of a friendship. But you must always keep your perspectives straight, and always realize that it is still a hobbyist/provider relationship. Happy hunting.-Vegas Moderator
Sure I have lots of providers as friends !!! giggles. Ok I will be serious. I have gained a lot of friends in the biz that are clients. I have their trust and they have mine. I never cross the line though where it gets complicated. Respect is a two way street. I think if you find a provider that is kewl and you enjoy being friends theres nothing to worry about. If you allow yourself to become intensely involved in every aspect of her life then take 2 m&m's and call candie in the morning... I mean then you should seek other clients advice. I feel crossing over that line just is setting yourself up. Sincerely, candiexx
Part of the reward of seeing providers is getting to know them, getting chummy on the phone and email. The ones we see over and over are wonderful people, and make us feel so terrific, how could you not start to feel close to them? But you are right, what is real and what isn't? Personally, I figure that I am surfing the edge. In other words, I don't ever assume too much. For example, if the car broke down and I needed a ride, or needed to borrow $$, or was in real trouble, I wouldn't presume to reach out to these friends. But I will make the most of our time together, and work to make it enjoyable for her, too. I'll try to remember their birthdays and holidays. Isn't that what friends are for?In the end, it doesn't matter to me if it's real or not. I know that sounds cold, but it really isn't. It's just that I keep aware of the boundaries so that the relationship can be rewarding for both, that's all. Like the pointalist who has to be creative within strict technical constraints, it works.
