Yes some people take pleasure in the pain or humiliation.
Why ? well each to his own, and there is nothing wrong with that.
some are men who have high power jobs they always have to be in control, so behind closed doors they want to be controlled.
Some are men who have issues from childhood or adulthood.
Some get pleasure from pain because that is the only way they feel loved.
There are plenty of other reasons..............

As for the whole pain bondage thing...Cindy is correct, I'm always the one out front and sometimes it's good to let someone else take charge. I'm not big into alot of pain but I do love to be tied up. The problem is finding a lady that gives a GFE along with the bondage and doesn't charge a huge amount.

Not sure what huge amount means to you .......but I do gfe with bondage no extra charge.
