I could be wrong but

I just stumbled across the Poll Archive. Interesting reading.

I was supprised to see that the majority of respondants DO NOT tell providers that they found them on TER. Why is this??

I have allways shared this with providers I see.
I have even introduced providers who were not familiar with TER. Spent time showing them on my laptop.

If a provder has especially good reviews I will
comment in my initial email that "the gentlemen from TER have spoken quite highly of you" or something to that effect. I also include my TER
handle hoping this will make the provider more cumfortable.
Is this a mistake on my part??? Could this be contributing to the dismal level of response I receive to my emails? (emailed 3 well reviewed providers on Friday. Zero response so far.)

What do you think??

You emailed 3 providers on Friday, and you haven't got a response yet. This doesn't mean they haven't seen your email. It is the weekend. Maybe they have "other" plans, or have not had the time yet to respond. I like to wait for a week before I send a 2nd email, and I wouldn't send one on Friday, expecting to get a response on Saturday from anyone. Be patient. As for TER reviews, if the provider has the TER badge on her website, then I ask her if she would like me to post a review of our meeting. Some may say no, others yes, and some probably don't care one way or the other.
Just my opinion.

Have fun everyone,

Big

Big,

Thank you for your reply.
I am not sure my first question was clear? I see that the majority of those who responded to the survey do not tell a provider that they found them on TER. I have been in the habit of telling providers when I contact them that I found them on TER. Am I making a mistake by telling them I found them on TER???

I don't think it's ever a mistake to tell them you found them on TER. It may be a mistake in your case to tell them your handle. They look up your reviews, see that you're a relatively tough scorer and figure why risk a mediocre score blemishing their record.

Hi, my name is Slim Shady and I have been reading your reviews and would like to see you.  So, I don't think it is a bad thing to say.  I would tell them my TER handle if they asked, but I don't just tell them unless they want to know.
