Unless this is the business I want to be in forever.

You ask why people don't show their face?
A brief list

- privacy
- famous past or family
- short term in the industry
- protecting family (such as people with kids)
- high profile clients
- being butt ugly (haha, a joke but it can be true)

Some of us have a lot to lose - we all saw what happened with the olympian and how she was put under fire - and that was WITH her hiding her face. What if someone from your husband/brother/sister/mother/father/child's work or school was made aware of your adult work or past... it could affect their job or get you barred from PTA meetings. No parent would want a provider chaperoning a field trip for example and no CEO will want to give a raise to a guy whose wife is a provider.

I have nothing against those who show or don't show - everyone has the choice.
I just hope everyone weight the outcome of that choice.

And it's never to late to be discrete.
You can start over with photos and begin to blur or remove photos which show identifying features. A de-listed provider did the same thing and raked google to find sites hosting the pix and sent countless emails to remove them. It's possible but not fun. The effort is worth it if discretion is the goal.

The great thing about TER is the looks rating and communication of hobbyists. If you don't show your face and a guy wants to see you you have the option to send a head shot or say to ask your reviewers for a description. There is no reason for people to show up and go "yipes!" when gents can do research. That said, I am fortunate to have been very successful since day one without showing my face. I attend the socials and M&Gs which gets me exposure without having it all over the internet.

Hope this info is useful and it's just my perspective - it's not fact, just how I see it from my seat.
