"Don't make waves.  Just be cool and smart and enjoy the ride." ...though I admit I'm not always holding myself to that advice.

No matter what sandbox you play in, it's gonna be someone's sandbox. No matter who makes the rule's, there's likely to be a personal exemption in there.

If it's a big deal, then maybe move on. I certainly have a tendency to bear a torch for Truth, Justice and the American Way, but this subject and TER are bigger than my personal opinions or suspicions... especially on a TER forum.

I wish everyone were super nice and unselfishly well intentioned, but I'm not willing to lose a bunch of sleep over finding a measure of corruption pretty much anywhere.

Also - Consider that SOME folks may have been banned for a good reason. Just because you don't know what that reason was, it doesn't necessarily make the ban malicious.

I came across this interesting and certainly controversial link on the LA discussion board.
http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=199998&boardID=1&page=1

I know little about what prompted it, but my opinion is that a business like TER must protect its integrety at all costs, because its commodities are reviews and cocnversation. Other Boards offer both, but what has set TER apart is that its reviews have been accurate and impartial. The few that I posted were exactly as I wrote them, and I have relied on the postings of other hobbiests to help me make decisions.

That integrety is now under question. There are two ways management can address the situation: One is by censorship, eliminating the posts and banning the posters. The other way is by being as open as possible, addressing questions as they arise and ensuring the honesty of the review and communications processes.

If posters are banned from TER, especially highly rated providers and frequent posters, they will show up on other sites, and word will get around. It always has and it always will, sometimes slowly and sometimes quickly. If readers find they cannot trust TER reviews, the business can not endure.

I do know LJ Montana, one very highly reviewed (and I assume very popular) providers among those so banned, although she is far from the only one. I know not what her offense was, but perhaps it should have been addressed rather than having her censored or banned. If anything, LJ is often too honest, if there could be such a thing. She is a "No BS" lady, often outspoken. But I do miss her posts. Besides being one of the most beautiful providers in this business, she is witty and, oh yes, outspoken. She makes for entertaining reading.

Just my $0.02 after reading the Los Angeles Board.

The Columbia river, as it flows through eastern WA, for the most part looks like a calm river. However, when you dive deep you find there is a strong current underneath the surface and if you stay down too long you can find yourself way down the shore line.

Waves can easily be made, and many do speak on back channels, but rarely is anything ever fair in this world my dear. We've all been shafted one way or another and have learned that sometimes it's best to just shut up and let time pass.......... karma is slow, but it does always show up *wink*
