How does rankings work

I have seen a few posts lately on the new TER guidelines when doing a review, can't get a 10 unless anal etc.
With that said, I am visiting Vegas this week and booked a session with a lady in the top 10. Had a great time and would agree with all prior reviews.
When looking at the Top100 today, I noticed she dropped more than 10 spots with no new reviews since I booked her, avg stayed the same and ladies with lesser scores well above her even though they don't offer same expected services.
This is no disrespect to any of the ladies but rather just trying to make sense of a confusing rating system.
Any insight would be appreciated.

Since the new system went into place it is affected by the stars.
.
For a simple example without using real profiles, see below. (You can use real profiles to test this out.)
Provider A has a 9.0 average for looks and a 9.0 average for performance, but she has no new reviews under the new system, so no stars for chemistry and location. Her overall average will be 9.00
9.0 +9.0=18.  18/2 =9.00
.
Provider B has an 8.9 average for looks and an 8.9 average for performance and 5 stars each for chemistry and location. Even though her looks and performance average are lower than Provider A, she will have a higher overall average. (9.27) The stars are added together and make up the 3rd leg of the equation in determining overall average.
8.9+8.9+(5+5)=27.8. 27.8/3=9.27

Not saying it is fair, or a good system or nothing like that. That is for others to argue about. All I am saying is that the math does make sense. See my other post in this thread, and test it out on some profiles.

...? Or is a different method used to calculate outcalls where no score for location is awarded? In the Provider B example, since no stars are awarded for location, the Provider would only warrant a 7.6 rating: 8.9+8.9+5 = 22.8 / 3 = 7.6.

In Las Vegas, incalls tend to be the exception and outcalls the rule. This would seem to unfairly weigh against outcall sessions.  I must be missing something here.

I've never had an incall session in Vegas and I very rarely use a Provider's incall anywhere else I may roam. I'm just not a fan, I enjoy it better when ladies come to see me where I'm staying.

A lot of ladies are outcall only. Especially in Vegas. How do they get Location stars? It definitely seems unfair to outcall ladies.
As I said in my reply to Heather, I am only explaining the math. I am not arguing the merits of the new system.

I prefer outcalls, but I will accommodate special requests & get a room anywhere my client needs provided he pays for the room.  I know for a fact this helps some individuals who are unable to host, but still really want to see me.
