Impersonal to me.I feel like there's no connection & barely a chance to get to know someone before the fun time begins. (Unless you are willing to shell out $$$$$$) At least with internet ladies you have a chance to have dinner drinks etc and then have fun or vice versa!!

Most of the brothel regulars that I know prefer to play legal where the providers get tested regularly for STDs/HIV.  They also don't want to give out personal information for verification that most indies/agencies require.  They know how the brothel system works and they don't get ripped off on prices like brothel newbies often do.  Although, they still pay more than those of us who prefer seeing indies.  I've tried to convince some of my brothel going friends to try the indie route, but they're too afraid or reluctant to give it a try, even with the help from a veteran hobbyist
