Can anyone give me some advice on where to stay while Im in LV.  I have stayed at the Luxor and MGM.  Nice places but I was thinking about trying something new.  Im interested in meeting some providers and would like to get some recommendations.  Money is no object of course.

Thanks.

Just curious on your choice of words. You say "Im interested in meeting some providers". Hopefully, you mean "meeting some providers" though great services like TER and not at hotel bars. Why take a chance? Spend the $20, get a TER membership, ask us who we suggest, meet a great lady, find a nice place to stay and enjoy!

Venetian is very nice. Their "basic" room is best in LV (larger, more amentities), although it costs a little more. Full time security checks on entrances to elevators, but just a room key waive gets you in (at least when I was there recently).

You asked the same question on 4-17-03.   Didn't like the answers you got then???  As one of the other people posted, you would get the most bang for you buck seeing one of the fine indys in Vegas who is reviwed on this site.

Hey you local Vegas Boys, I read this thread because I have plans to be in Vegas next weekend and I heard about some report on the news that the Imperial Palace had Asian visitors and guests walking around in Masks because of the recent Sars thing. that kind of makes me want to switch my hotel to another.  My question is:  Have you guys heard of this and also there was said that 2 people died of Sars in Vegas.

I understand if you're interested in a casino worker, the Hard Rock hotel has a lot of lookers.  In fact when I stayed there a lot of the female patrons were good looking!  I also like the fact that it's not huge so getting out was not a big rat maze ordeal.

If money is no object, I'd say the Four Seasons (it's attached to the Mandalay Bay but has a separate entrance).  I think there's a Ritz Carlton in Lake Las Vegas (not sure if it's opened yet) but that's a haul from the strip (at least 20 min).

As for the SARS, I saw a brief clip on the news that the one person who was suspected of having it was released from quarantine and recovered nicely.  They don't believe that person had SARS.  No other reports of SARS cases in LV.

fantastic web site, informative, irreverent as hell, and funny to boot. Some of the commentary on the different hotel's clientele is hilarious..... MfSD.
