Touring Questions

I will be in Vegas touring in a couple weeks and I had a few questions that I would really appreciate answers for.

1) I've heard that Eros is not a good place to advertise since there are so many fake profiles on there (yet I've seen a lot of local reputable providers advertising on Eros so I assume that they are getting some sort of business from it). Is it a good idea to list your donations on your ad or not list them and direct the potential clients to my website? Also I usually always go with a VIP ad option. Is it worth it?

2) I've read that CityVibe is a good site to advertise on. What ad option gets viewed the most (top banner, sponsored ads, etc.)?

3) I'm only offering outcall. Do most outcall appointments take place on the strip in hotels?

4) This question isn't about the tour. Are there any bdsm clubs in Vegas? If so what are your recommendations on the best club to visit?

A well done ad on the Las Vegas Ad Board with enough time for guys to make plans with a link to those reviews you have on TER would book you up..

I certainly can't speak for anybody else but the only time I ever look at Eros or Cityvibe is when a provider is asked about as being legitimate and the link from there is posted on TER. Normally when that happens the lady does not have their own site like you do and does not have the reviews on TER that you do.

Just my thoughts...

Are you bringing that video camera along?

I appreciate you responding to my questions. Looks like I'll be saving some money since I won't be using Eros :D.

I will definitely bring my camera along.

1.  I never go to Eros anymore.  Too much of a hassle swimming through the fake ads to find the real ones.  Then, I want to verify through TER or P411 anyway, so why even bother?  "VIP" ads meant nothing to me, except potential higher prices.

2.  I'll go to City Vibe to check out a new city I'm visiting, but don't trust it for the same reasons as above.  Though it doesn't seem to be as fake-ridden as Eros, and it's easier to see the pictures there.  Here, I think it's  an advantage to get on the top of the sponsored ads.  But they really need to update the website.  Frames?  In 2012?

3.  TER reviews and message boards, and P411 ads are my best resources.  P411s Featured Ads can get attention, but not necessary.  Logging in puts you on top of the search for a city, if I understand correctly.

4.  All my outcalls in Vegas occurred in my hotel on or near the strip.  I would guess it's up to the girl whether they want to go downtown or to some lesser motels or private homes.  Be sure to know if the hotel requires you to show a key to get to the elevators and have a plan to get around that.  Personally, if I am staying at a hotel that requires it, I'll 'lose' my key during the first night there, and get a new one.  With the old key now deactivated, I can hand it to my guest so she can get to the elevators alone.  It would be pretty obvious if I were to escort a young hottie to the elevators.

5.  In my opinion, if your Eros site has good pictures (which it does, btw), you don't need to put prices there, if you don't want.  Interested guys will want to go to the website and look around anyway.  I am more likely to skip past ads with crappy or no pictures.  It's a waste of time to see an ad here on TER without a picture, click through the link, click through the disclaimer, find the gallery, and finally see that the girl isn't your type.  If the girl's picture piques my interest, I don't mind going to their website and browsing, even if I find they end up being out of my comfortable price range.  (which you are, btw)

You also have many different prices based on location.  You open yourself to mistakes (or intentional deception) where guys see your ad and prices in one location, then see you in another and bring the wrong donation.

Ok, and finally, a final observation.  Take it or leave it.  You have 4 pages of reviews, with consistent 9's and 10's for performance, but page 1 goes back all the way to 2008.

Why are you having trouble generating business?  Well, you spend a lot of time defending your rates on your website and Eros, perhaps you've heard complaints about them.  You seem to be adding the 'porn star up-charge', but I can't find you based on any information in your ads or on your site.

I think you are quite attractive, but for $600 (or less) in Vegas I can get 9's and 10's in performance from dozens of fucking hot fucking hotties.  (Arden Moon, Katie Flowers, Ava Ivy, Samantha Sommers).  At $600, you don't make my top 25 in my options to spend my hobby dollars in Vegas.  At $400, you'd make the short list.  $700 in NYC?  No fucking way.

And your FAQ on the website?  TL;DR

Just an opinion from a monger with no horse in this race.  I don't make it to Arizona, and I doubt we'll be in Vegas at the same time.

I never use Eros, it's too expensive. I don't use BP for obvious reasons, and I have ads on Cityvibe but I do require references. I don't take the risk of whoever calls, just meet them, its not worth it. I'm not sure how much business I lose because of it.

I have found most of the guys here are not able to read my reviews since everything is now VIP. I suspect there aren't as many men using TER for that reason.

I will do out calls to a hotel that requires a room key and set up a meeting place before hand. I will go to a private residence, but I do require references for all my appointments.

As for donations, I don't have the formula for that either. If I advertise too low, then it's too much for too little for me and I can't make enough money to sustain anything. OR I get no responses because it's too low and they are suspicious of that too. They think I am upselling them some how.

Good luck, be safe!!

Personally I dont bother with Eros, simply because there are to many fakes on there.
If you check all the ads you will find a lot of the girls on there dont have a link to their personal website.
As I have said numerous times. If a provider does not have a website, I move on swiftly, I would hope all potential clients would do the same.

If she has a website then its very very unlikely she will be a fake IMO.

While its true on TER VIP members can read your reviews, if you post an AD on the regional board, everyone can read/see it.

If you think your rates are fair, then I think its a good idea to post them in any advert you place on the web.
Rates are one of the first things potential clients look at, and if they like what they see, they will follow your link to check you out.

As your touring and dont live in Vegas I would say for sure you should offer outcall at a strip hotel, or a well known one just off the strip, such as the Rio, Palms, Orleans etc.
You can get a decent hotel on the strip for a relatively low price most of the time.

ComradeM says your not worth $600, which is his opinion and he's entitled to it.
And he lists a number of girls who charge around the same amount and says he would pick them before you. Again his choice, but the majority of those girls he lists dont offer BBBJ or ANAL, so that stops a lot of guys paying their asking price.

Good Luck.

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I won't be offering incall while touring in Vegas since I'm a bit concerned about the security measures in the hotels on the strip.

Thank you for replying to my questions.

I don't even know how many potential clients I've lost because of requiring verification of some sort but I'm sure it's quite a few. That's definitely not something I'm willing to compromise on though.

I agree.  Rates that are too low are also suspicious.  Scam?  LE?  Last time I booked a bargain, I regretted it.  (Nothing terrible, just a lackluster experience)

Regarding TER VIP, even without it, you can at least get a sense of the provider you are considering.  If they have 0 reviews, 2 reviews, or 100, the difference can mean something to you.  And considerate reviewers who give more than "Two call system, arrived at room and..." in the general details help a lot.

Plus seeing the provider commenting and participating on the general boards and ad boards helps you get to know them a little before booking, which I like.

And I wouldn't fear losing business to requiring references.  That's not a corner I would think you would want to cut.  And on the flip side, I have cancelled appointments with providers who DIDN'T screen me.  That scares me.  If others have this same opinion, you would lose business for not screening too.

Thank you! I've always agreed with this...and have always told clients that if a provider isn't asking to verify you then it's most likely someone they don't want to see. I'm glad you think the same way :)

Just an opinion from a monger with no horse in this race.  I don't make it to Arizona, and I doubt we'll be in Vegas at the same time.
Thank you for responding my my post. All the money that I make from this business goes into savings...I do not do this for a living. So really I can charge whatever I want to charge even if some people think it's too high because I already know that my bills will be paid every month. I've been nominated for an AVN award so I think $500 to visit a porn starlet is a reasonable rate. My donations differ in the different cities I travel to because generally it's more expensive to visit there and I have to cover my travel costs.

My flight to NYC usually costs around $250-$300 so that right there is about half an appointment. A lot of the time I take a taxi to my appointments since I tend to get lost so that also takes away a portion of what I make during an appointment. Really with all the expenses I have while traveling I make as much as I do in Arizona.

My rate in NYC for incall is $700/hr because the incall I use charges me $100/hr. So I'm making the same amount for incall and outcall while in NYC. So far while touring I've been quite busy and have had to turn down calls. So obviously some people are perfectly okay with my donations the way they are.

I don't ask to be reviewed and generally when clients ask about it I tell them not to bother. I was out of the business and UTR at certain times in 2008-2011 hence why I don't have as many reviews in those years.

I don't understand what "TL;DR" means. I like how I created my FAQ page. It's far different from what I've seen out there.

Btw negativity gets you no where in life. Writing "At $600, you don't make my top 25 in my options to spend my hobby dollars in Vegas.  At $400, you'd make the short list.  $700 in NYC?  No fucking way" just makes you seem like a very negative person and not someone I would ever want to see.

You are so absolutely correct Danielle... There is no need to be mean or derogatory in any way.  ComradeM has some valid points, but he did not have to be mean at all.   You asked for opinions and you got them.  If you take the mean out of the comments, it really boils down to the advice as follows:

1) Look where customers and providers both have success in their searches/advertising
2)  Charge what you feel you can to maximize your time/energies.  There is a break point in pricing for every customer in every business transaction.... Charge what you like, but don't waste any time defending your pricing policies to those who are not willing or not able to pay them.  If they cannot get a steak, hopefully they can find a sandwich to satisfy them.
3)Like any advertising... yours will not hit everyone successfully.  Try to take criticism objectively regarding your website and advertising outlets.  If you ask for advice, just give it a good hard look, and if it applies, use it, if not, move on ...no loss.
4)  Mean people suck, always have, always will....

best of luck.

You are really sweet. I appreciate you commenting on this thread.

Didn't mean to be mean.  Sorry it came across that way.  Rather, sorry I let it get that way.

Danielle,

Thanks for the well written response.  Glad we could both have our opinions without it becoming a flame war.

Regarding the AVN award, please let us know where we can find your movies.  I think that would boost interest.  I looked for a bit.  Videosz dot com didn't have you.  "Danielle" was just too vague in a search.  I did finally find you later on FreeOnes, but only because one review I read added the FTV to your name.
FTV is hot!  That would definitely boost interest.

TL;DR - Too long; didn't read.  I liked the format, but just felt it was too much.  I went there looking for where to find your movies, or what name you went under for them, and came out empty.

Naturally, I know more about my end of the financial aspect of this business, and little about yours.  I appreciate your insight, and hope you take my comments in the manner they were intended.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my response to you (that's kind of a tongue twister). I don't advertise my "services" under the "FTV" name since I don't really want my escorting site/self associated with the FTV name. The last thing I want is for fans to see that an FTV girl is an escort and then assume that ALL FTV girls are escorts. That would definitely make things difficult for FTVRob (the owner of the company).

If you are interested please check out my Danielle Delaunay free informational website I created for my fans.

Next year once my tattoos are completely removed I will start shooting with select porn companies under the name "Danielle Delaunay". My dream goal is to be an Elegant Angel contract model but in the mean time I plan on shooting with companies that I've admired and followed for years now.

Danielle is quite a lady. I've seen her twice in Phoenix, and each time we had a very special experience. Never bothered to review her because I generally dont like doing so, and she wasnt interested.

I know I have plans with her this trip, and she's not one i'd ever pass up.

Are her rates high? Depends.. I see many $500/hr on this site, on P411 and on date-check. Is she worth it...absolutely.

To each their own....

ComradeM.  Why did you even bother to respond to Danielle if all you wanted to do was brag about yourself and belittle Danielle?  You are an arrogant loudmouth (btw).  What Danielle chooses for her rates is her business and hers alone.  Maybe you had better find a crowbar to pry open your wallet and pull out $50 for a street walker.

Did I mention there are some amazingly hot women in Vegas? I don't think I've seen such a large concentration of gorgeous women in one place before.

Vegas is soooo lucky.

Most of the responses you will get here are from TER users and reviewers, they may be "judgmental", but that's what we do, it's the nature of being on a review board.  They are honest opinions, from experienced hobbyists.  They are worth consideration.

But I will try to respond as if it was before I knew of TER, and only knew about BP, CV and EROS.

1)  Eros: My big plan was to get a couple of "cheap dates" off of BP or CV and splurge on an EROS girl.  I had a hard time on EROS because so many of the ads are obviously fake (same girl, different name), and because they DID NOT list their prices. I didn't consider ads without a price because the few I investigated turned out to be $1,000 plus.  I eventually picked a lady in your price range BECAUSE she listed her price, her photos appeared real (nice, but not overly professional). And linked to her site and to her reviews (I didn't have VIP, and i still didn't know how use TER as a source for ads or searches. Using the boards took anther year). So I would recommend a) good pictures that appear real b) get the VIP and good position, it gets tiring going through all those ads. And it makes you easy to find on return visits (they shuffle the regular ads) c) list your rate, all inclusive, flat, guaranteed, whatever; your biggest challenge is to convince the readers you are the girl in the photos and that IS THE price.

2) I've read that CityVibe is a good site to advertise on. What ad option gets viewed the most (top banner, sponsored ads, etc.)?

You have the same challenge on CV as you do on EROS, but you can be more direct, "it's me or its free", that would too tacky for EROS, I recommend all levels of ads, a banner, an ad, and post something trashy on the free classified. Maybe a cell phone in the mirror shot.  All the different levels of ads will support each other and add authenticity to your EROS ad.  Put a discount on the free classified, it will look spontaneous, and if a newbie is digging that deep that's the only way you're going to get him. He will feel like he's on the inside.

3) I'm only offering outcall. Do most outcall appointments take place on the strip in hotels?

Yeah but, there's been a lot of posts about cheap hotels.  If you got an issue with a level hotel specify it in your ad.

4) This question isn't about the tour. Are there any bdsm clubs in Vegas? If so what are your recommendations on the best club to visit?

I've heard the power exchange is good, but I've never been there

The best thing you can do, to make that guy feel like he's gotten his money's worth, is to look like your photos.....and wear sexy lingerie.

I like to think that I show my client's a great time. I have a very broad menu and am incredibly open minded so will usually try everything out at least once to see if I enjoy it or not.

The Power Exchange looks like so much fun. I'm going to try to get my girlfriends to go there with me. I know that we are definitely going to the Sapphire's gentlemens club to see their male revue (my third time going....the male strippers will get down right naughty with you). I wonder what the female strippers at Sapphire's are like if you take them to VIP and tip generously...

My experience but the VIP room at Sapphires is completely overpriced just to walk through the door. I'd much rather spend my money on the actual ladies at a VIP room at Spearmint Rhino. Don't get me wrong because I actually like Sapphires but not for it's entry fee / time spent just to walk into the VIP room. Excessive...

Besides, It's not the VIP room that enhances the experience when you "tip" the ladies generously... it's the ladies themselves. Do yourself a favor if you and your friends want to VIP it up with the ladies and head over to the Rhino for that in my opinion.

Maybe some of the ladies on here have had better experiences in the VIP room at Sapphires then I've had and can chime in.

Have Fun!
