Anyone worried about the reports that up to 40,000 people in Vegas may have contracted Hepatitis?  The AP is reporting that:

"The Southern Nevada Health District says some 40,000 former patients of the group's Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada on Shadow Lane are at risk of hepatitis C, B and HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. They received treatment at the clinic between March 2004 and last Jan. 11."

Boys and girls...that is a long long time and a hell of a lot of people.

Hep C you get from blood
Hep B you get from bodily fluids!

As do many of Vegas's finest ladies. If anything, they are more likely to be aware of their STD status and actively monitoring it than Jane or Joe Civilian, your 4 am pickup at Drai's.

Risk management is sort of up to your own level of tolerance. If potential exposure to Hep B/Hep C/VD/AIDS and so on squicks you out (because issues like the ones you pointed out can happen anywhere), even if you practice safe sex, you're on the wrong board and in the wrong hobby. Might I suggest stamp collecting and masturbation as safer alternatives?

...is being light. What's adult population of Vegas?
Maybe 2 million? Take 10 percent of that, and I think I'd be closer to being right.
